Villa With Private Pool In Taccarelli Between Sarnano And Amandola

Overview

Property

Updated: 13-Sep-2016
Villa in Taccarelli, Amandola, Fermo, Le Marche, Italy - Peaceful, Hamlet Location, 7 Minutes Drive To 2 Historic Towns

Spacious and bright, fully refurbished house in the middle of a picturesque hamlet, with far reaching views across the hills of Marche. Situated on the edge of the Sibillini Mountains inside the National Park, the Villa is equidistant between Sarnano and Amandola where there are large weekly food markets. Ideal choice for a family or friends get together, with plenty of activities in and around the Villa (including mountain bikes) and a well equipped kitchen, with lots to see in the area for those who like exploring. Alternatively many of our guests like to relax by the pool with a good book & head to one of the excellent nearby restaurants for dinner. The area is unspoilt and feels like authentic Italy, with fewer tourists than better known areas. The villa and 2 acre grounds are extremely peaceful with the only disturbance being the locals chatting and the church bells daily. There's wifi, a TV with DVD collection, table tennis table, table football, numerous board and card games, plus a growing library of books to borrow. Upstairs there are 4 double double bedrooms, 2 ensuite and the other 2 share a bathroom. Downstairs is a double ensuite bedroom ideal for those who prefer peace and quiet, or who don't want to climb stairs. We restored this traditional farmhouse in 2007 and it is comfortably furnished with ample space for everyone to come together and enjoy the stunning views from the terrace, lounge in the shade of a huge Pine tree in the woods, soak up the sun around the pool, or enjoy a meal on the terrace. The living room is large and bright, with 3 large comfortable sofas for lounging about watching a DVD when it's hot (or cold) outside. There's also a table tennis table in the second half of the lounge, and a sofa bed for extra guests. The spacious kitchen is well equipped and spacious is ideal for preparing tasty meals! There's a separate drinks fridge to the main large fridge, and also a larder off the kitchen for cold storage. The pool is down a small set of rock stairs, and is 5 x 10 metres with entry steps on one side.

About the Owner

We bought the house on a bit of a whim when various factors came together and it seemed to make sense to buy a large restoration project in the middle of an area we knew very little about! It has worked much better than we had hoped for, the restoration went pretty well & within 12 months of buying a shell it was fully restored and 16 people were enjoying Christmas there. We love the house and the village and spend at least 6 weeks a year there.

Better 2nd time around

Villa Farelli is situated in La Marche within a national park. This area is beautiful with great opportunities for walking cycling site seeing skiing in the winter. This was my second visit and I chose to relax using the villas excellent facilities. The swimming pool was great as we enjoyed really good weather. The information provided by the owner gave us some great days out. The surrounding area has lots of great restaurants in lovely villages/towns. This holiday gave us a totally relaxed and stress free break.

Location

From the Owner

This is a fabulous house as it's well built, lots of character, fabulous views, perfect distance from 2 stunning Medieval towns (7 mins each way in either direction), in a National Park on the edge of the Sibillini Mountains. So ski in the morning and beach in the afternoon easily achievable. We wanted somewhere that not many Brits go to, somewhere that feels authentic Italy, and this very much does.
