Guestbook comments from the manager

Churchyard Cottage is an excellent weekend away. The cottage itself is situated in a small village near Swindon and is easily accessible from both the M4 and A34. The Cottage is furnished luxuriously and it is clear that the owners have spent a serious amount of time, effort, and love on decorating the interior; with particular attention to detail. The bed is very soft and well furnished, the bath and shower are both excellent, and the kitchen is well-equipped. But what stands out most about Churchyard Cottage are the little things. There was milk, butter, and a bottle of white wine in the fridge. There were toiletries, towels, and dressing gowns available in the bathroom. There was even a heater installed beneath the oven to warm up a small cold-spot in the kitchen. I would highly recommend this as a weekend, or week, away for a couple. There are enough things to do in the local area, but more importantly, the cottage itself is an exceptionally pleasant place to stay and unwind. I will most certainly look to return in future.

A gorgeous cottage with a secluded, cosy, romantic feel.

We have just spent a really lovely weekend at Churchyard Cottage. It was a Christmas present to my husband, and it didn't disappoint. A real treat! When we arrived the wind was howling and the rain lashing, but inside it was warm and cosy. We loved many things about the cottage - the nespresso coffee machine, woodburner, bath, lovely views from the bedroom and the pub at the end of the road!! We would definitely recommend, and love to come back. Just something to be aware of; the church bells ring on the hour and through the night. I am a bell ringer so it didn't bother me! Thank you for making our getaway special from Stefan and Joanne.

Beautifully decorated and so cosy with the log fire. We spent three lovely nights here and didn't want to leave. Great location with beautiful walks and local pubs.

The cottage has everything you need to relax. Loved the bath in the bedroom and sitting by the fire at night.

We walked the ridgeway to The White Horse on a gorgeous winters day. Local pubs The Royal Oak, The greyhound in letcombe and The Star all a reasonable drive away.

Already booked to come back again.

Churchyard Cottage was perfectly located close to great dog walks and a lovely pub. It was beautifully presented without unnecessary clutter or fripperies and gorgeous artwork and objects. Luxurious toiletries and fantastic shower and bath with plenty of towels, comfy bed and sofa. The kitchen units are fabulous; a wall shelf and freezer would add just the few extras needed. Perfect for two and dogs.

We LOVED everything about this quaint cottage. Its location was PERFECT to trekking trails! We hiked and ended up top of the hill where people were paragliding. The cottage itself is wonderful.. wood burner, romantic tub. Nothing but wonderful things to say about the cottage, the English village and pubs and owner. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Superbly Charming & Just Perfect

My wife and I flew all the way from Texas, U.S. to celebrate our 10 year anniversary at this great cottage and our only regret is we didn't book it longer! At the foot of a The Ridgeway with access to beautiful walks; a few paces from a warm and friendly pub; and the cottage itself is just absolutely charming. Cannot wait to return again soon!
