Jack's Cottage affords our guests some of the finest sea views on our wonderful coastline. It has been successfully let since 2007 with many guests returning to stay with us. The Cottage has undergone a major extension, significantly increasing and enhancing the facilities and offering to our visitors comfortable, spacious, high quality accommodation with wonderful sea views from both living rooms and all bedrooms. WiFi, phone for incoming calls, bed linen, heating, electricity and fuel for the stove are all included. Two wonderful sandy beaches which stretch for miles are just few minutes stroll in either direction and there is a rocky beach just across the road which is great for rock-pooling.

Ground Floor:

Sun Porch - With seating and small folding table overlooking sea and garden. Perfect for breakfast or coffee watching the ebb and flow of the sea.

Lounge/dining -room with sea views. Tastefully furnished and decorated to retain the period features, with wooden floors and rugs. Two large comfortable sofas. Original fireplace with inset multi-fuel stove. Soft lighting and two adjustable uplighting/reading lights Dining and seating for 8 people. Large flat screen TV with Free-view, DVD and CD player

Twin/King bedroom - With sea views. Optional bed sizes available to suit the needs of our guests.

Spacious Shower Room adjacent - double walk in shower cubicle, power shower,toilet, modern hand basin with illuminated vanity mirror and shaver point, ladder towel rail.

Kitchen - Very well equipped Shaker style units. Modern electric cooker with fan assisted double oven and ceramic hob, extractor fan, fridge/ freezer, microwave and toaster.

Utility room - Washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. Rear door leading to garden

First Floor :

Sitting Room - : A large light airy room with a Scandinavian feel and vaulted beamed ceiling. There are two large picture windows from which to enjoy uninterrupted magnificent views from Bamburgh Castle to Dunstanburgh Castle taking in the wonderful Farne Islands and Longstone Lighthouse. There is a large sofa and a casual chair together with a double futon

Bedroom 1 Family Room - - A tastefully furnished, spacious room with two 4 foot double beds. Panoramic sea views

Bedroom 2 - Double room with a twin aspect giving wonderful sea views towards the Farne Islands and out to sea.

Family bathroom - High quality suite. Bath with electric shower over, integrated vanity unit/wc, ladder towel rail, illuminated vanity mirror with shaver point.

Outside :

Enclosed, lawned front garden with small table and chairs.

Rear garden with lawn which catches the afternoon sunshine

Garden furniture provided – four chairs and a table

Private parking for two cars – one in rear parking space and one at side of the Cottage.

The seashore is only 50 yards from the Cottage. Also two superb sandy beaches Beadnell Bay and the Haven are a very short stroll away. In Beadnell Village the Towers Hotel and the Craster Arms both offer reasonably priced meals. There is also a small village shop and a fish and chip shop. Two miles away at Seahouses there is a wide variety of eating establishments and a large Co-op ,a garage,as well as an independent butchers and bakers.

About the Owner

The Northumberland coast has been an essential part of my life since early childhood. Corner Cottage has been my second home for over 10 years. I return to it as often as I can and share it with my family and friends.

I love to take one of the many books from the cottage, a glass of wine and go and sit on the seats near the cottage and watch the sun setting over Seahouses Harbour and Bamburgh Castle in the distance.

Coast/Beach:

Beadnell Bay Beach and Harbour are 10 minutes stroll along the seafront or over the field; The quiet Haven Beach 400 yards. The beaches are sand and dunes. The Haven beach also has interesting rock pools. Both the Bay beach and the Haven are about 2 miles long.

Dogs are allowed on our beaches. Dog mess must be cleaned up. Wardens will prosecute

Travel:

Newcastle Airport is 35 miles. Berwick upon Tweed railway station is 25 miles. Local bus service operated by Ariva and Travelsure.

Beadnell Village is less than 5 minutes walk.

There are two pubs, both serving bar and restaurant meals, within a five minute walk of the house. Newsagents/ general store which sells local produce. Fish shop on sea front, Easter to November.

In Seahouses which is 2 miles away there is a bank, Co-Op, Londis, garage and various local shops and places to eat. Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury deliver to the village.

Beadnell offers various water sports. Kitesurfing lessons, surf board lessons and hire are available as are diving charters.

Booking Notes:
25% deposit secures a booking and the remainder is due 8 weeks prior to the holiday. Payment by cheque, bank transfer or Paypal ( small charge applies).
A damage bond cheque is required and held on file until after the holiday.

Changeover Day:
Friday changeover in the season. Flexibility can be offered during off peak times. Short breaks, where available, can start on various days. Minimum 3 nights must be paid for. No short breaks during peak weeks unless there is last minute availability.
