Fantastic Christmas family get together

What a stunning house, right on the seafront with lots of room for our family Christmas of six adults and three children. We arrived in darkeness to a welcome pack and a message from Jennifer and Fergus wishing us a Merry Christmas. The house was clean and beautifully maintained with lots of quirky furnishings, which we all loved. The bath in the downstairs bathroom was a real winner, as were the comfortable beds. We watched Storm Barbara roll in across the sea and enjoyed the rain and waves from the warmth of the sitting room on the second floor. On mornings of good weather we stepped out of the front door to drink mugs of hot coffee whilst looking out to sea, or to forage on the beach infront of the house. Everything was perfect and we all left agreeing it was the most relaxing family Christmas we'd ever spent together. Thank you.

A gem of a property in a superb location .

This is a hidden gem of a property located in a quintessential Scottish fishing village.

The sea is literally on your doorstep. Beautifully appointed property, full of character with everything provided to guarantee a wonderful stay. Peaceful, serene, quaint, quirky and delightful.

The East Neuk of Fife has so much to offer visitors and this is an ideal location to take advantage of this .

Look out for the harbour seals and occasional views of pods of dolphins.

Again, it's a gem !!

Perfect - loved everything!.

This property is ideal for a group of 6 - 9. All amenities, well maintained, clean, friendly owners who take pride in their property & provide little extras for great customer service. (Thanks for the special treats on arrival and sufficient towels and linens)

Morning coffee & breakfast sitting atop the break wall or a scotch nightcap listening to the tide - we were smitten!

Loved the location for a relaxing week filled with hikes on Fife Coastal Path to nearby St. Monans & Anstruther. Day trips to Edinburgh & Glasgow and of course nearby St. Andrews. Enjoyed eating locally and loved the Cocoa Tree, Anstruther Fish & Chips and local pub in St. Monans. Very friendly people with an active harbour to watch on morning walks.

I would highly recommend this location and property to my family and friends. Jennifer & Fergus were delightful and our week passed far too quickly. We will return!

The house had everything you would need for an ideal holiday..plenty of lovely towels..beautiful bathrooms and really tastefully decorated. The views were stunning. Any slight problem and the owner sorted it at once. Highly recommend this house for a fantastic holiday let.

Nearest Airport : Edinburgh at 55 Miles Nearest Beach : Pittenweem at 2 Metres Car: necessary


The house looks on to the sea with a private walled front. There is an opening giving access down onto the beach.


Pittenweem is about 9 miles from St. Andrews which offers a wealth of bars, shops, restaurants and is the home of golf. Edinburgh is just over an hour away and you can be in Stockbridge in 1 hour 10 minutes.

  • Notes on accommodation: This property is in an ideal location for happy family holidays suiting all ages as well as those adults wanting to just get away from it all. The property, a family home provides the atmosphere for traditional family holidays. Where children can play safely and reminiscent Swallows and Amazons. Regrettably we do not accept pets. Outside: There is a large private garden to the rear and accessed from the kitchen and courtyard area giving a Mediterranean feel. A set of steps takes you up to the sun trap garden. The garden can also be accessed from the rear lane. All adding to the intrigue of the character of Pittenweem and this charming property. The garden is well stocked with screened with trees shrubs and plants. Utility Room: The utility room has a washer/dryer, larder fridge and a sink with solid oak work top/ drainer. Houses ironing board, iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is supplied with bed linen for all beds and towels for each occupant. All compliment the individual decor of each room. Other: Open plan dining room leading off kitchen with wood burning stove.
