Very cosy cottage in a lovely spot. The weather has been mixed but we have still packed a lot in- Welsh Highland Railway, train down to Barmouth and the Fairbourne Railway, lovely walk at Morfa Nefyn, Portmeirion and several local walks.

Fabulous hideaway and yet so close to all you could possibly need!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is immaculately presented with parking on the door step. The owners live on site but totally respect your privacy. The closeness to the coastal path is an absolute joy making Portmadog and even Portmerion walkable if you are averagely fit.

Local beeches are a short walk away and superb. Highly recommended by us!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind comments. We always point out the close coastal paths to our guests when they arrive as the local beaches are so beautiful and jut a few minutes walk away. The cottage is in a great location from which to explore Snowdonia and the Llyn peninusula, but for those who want to start their coastal walking directly from the cottage it can't be beaten! We hope to see you here again one day! Branwen & Paul.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Our week here with our 8 month old baby was really enjoyable. The cottage is small but provided everything we needed and was very comfortable indeed. The walk down to several beautiful sandy beaches was easy and picturesque, and Borth-y-Gest and Porthmadog are also a walk away. We enjoyed gentle walks locally at Cwm Pennant and Ceunant Cynfal, and drove down the Llyn peninsula on a rainy day. Branwen was very friendly and approachable, thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much, Eloise for your lovely comments, it was a pleasure seeing you both with your lovely baby boy! You certainly got out and about and enjoyed the (mainly) good weather. As you say the cottage is small but cosy and we easily managed to find room for your travel cot. We hope to see you back again some time.

A gem of a cottage in a beautiful location.

  • 5 of 5

Ffermdy Bach is a gem of a cottage, situated in an extremely beautiful part of Wales. The owner was very welcoming and provided some lovely touches such as flowers, tea, coffee an milk for arrival. The cottage was very clean and tidy and within easy access of the coastal path and some stunning beaches and scenery. I have visited Pembrokeshire many times, but think that this part of Wales is even more beautiful.

There is so much to do and see in the area. We did not manage to do everything we had planned in the five days we stayed. Another visit to this area is definitely on the list of things to do.

I would recommend Ffermdy Bach without any reservation. We had a fabulous time.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind comments and agree that this part of Wales is one of the most beautiful! It's the sea and mountain combination that makes it so special and as you say the coastal path is only a few minutes walk away with some stunning views. We'd love to see you both here again so you can spend more time exploring. Hwyl fawr! Branwen and Paul

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind words, we hope you managed to see everything you planned to while you were here. From walking or climbing to castles and narrow gauge railways there's so much to do in this area which is often called the gateway to Snowdonia. We hope to see you again someday! Branwen and Paul

We were looking for a base to explore Snowdonia and the Lleyn peninsular. An added advantage is its nearness to to the beach and coast path.

Great base to explore Snowdonia area

Very comfortable, well-equipped cottage within easy reach of tourist attractions as well as more off-beat places to visit.
