About Branwen Bell

The cottage, Ffermdy Bach, is a self-contained part of our house, which is a traditional Welsh farmhouse.

We moved here in 1996 and now our daughters have left home we decided to make the most of our extra space!

The cottage has its own entrance and garden so you have your privacy and can come and go as you please.

Branwen Bell purchased this cottage in 1996

Guestbook comments from the owner

Very cosy cottage in a lovely spot. The weather has been mixed but we have still packed a lot in- Welsh Highland Railway, train down to Barmouth and the Fairbourne Railway, lovely walk at Morfa Nefyn, Portmeirion and several local walks.

Thanks for the milk and Welsh cakes!

Lovely, absolutely beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

The property was beautiful, all fittings and furnishings were lovely.

The bed was wonderful, we had lovely sleeps.

It was close to all shops and we had no problems at all.

We could not have been happier with our hosts and our stay there.

We would also like to say we hope the new building is going well.

Thank you so much for a lovely and welcome stay.

Owner's Response: Hello Harry and Sheila, We're so glad you enjoyed your stay, thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to have you here. You certainly made the most of the good weather even going to Bardsey island which is certainly worth a visit to see the seals and wildlife. We hope to see you again! Branwen and Paul

A perfect little cottage for two.

  • 5 of 5

This little cottage is ideal for two; cosy, peaceful and amidst stunning coastal scenery and Snowdonian landscapes. A lovely little retreat, following walks along the coast path, or up into the Snowdonian hills, and for rail enthusiasts, close to the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways. The cottage had everything we required, with plenty of information to help us plan our stay, and the owners, who provided us with a warm welcome, maintained a quiet and private space to unwind. The area has so much to offer, you will find it difficult to leave.

Interieur was Quiet Complete, nothing was missing. only drop oft bitterness was a little stuffy smell in the kitchen by arriving until we got to use it. Very kindly owners but it was not enough time to make friends.

We have been looking for a cottage to return to, and having tried several at last we have found it.Thoughtfully renovated,it was all in the detail, from the sweet peas on the dresser to the milk in the fridge! We had a wonderful break here and are looking forward to returning to this beautiful part of Wales. The cottage is a credit to Branwen and Paul. Thankyou
