An ideal getaway for two.

  • 5 of 5

A lovely cottage in a great location, convenient for exploring North Wales. This suited all our needs, we wanted to explore the Llyn Peninsula to do family history research and travel on the Welsh Highland Railway to Caernarvon, both of which we did in our 4 night stay here as well as local walks. Had we been able to stay longer we would have revisited Snowdon, Portmeirion, and The Ffestiniog railway. Highly recommended.

A perfect little cottage for two.

  • 5 of 5

This little cottage is ideal for two; cosy, peaceful and amidst stunning coastal scenery and Snowdonian landscapes. A lovely little retreat, following walks along the coast path, or up into the Snowdonian hills, and for rail enthusiasts, close to the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways. The cottage had everything we required, with plenty of information to help us plan our stay, and the owners, who provided us with a warm welcome, maintained a quiet and private space to unwind. The area has so much to offer, you will find it difficult to leave.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely remarks, you certainly made the most of your time here and had some lovely sunny days for your walks. As you say the cottage is ideally placed between Snowdonia and the beautiful beautiful Llyn peninsula so there's plenty to explore. Although we live adjacent to the cottage, we always try to maintain a respectful distance to allow our guests privacy to enjoy the peace and quiet of their holiday. Of course we're on hand if needs be with advice or if you have any problems. We hope to see you here again one day! Branwen and Paul.

Interieur was Quiet Complete, nothing was missing. only drop oft bitterness was a little stuffy smell in the kitchen by arriving until we got to use it. Very kindly owners but it was not enough time to make friends.

We have been looking for a cottage to return to, and having tried several at last we have found it.Thoughtfully renovated,it was all in the detail, from the sweet peas on the dresser to the milk in the fridge! We had a wonderful break here and are looking forward to returning to this beautiful part of Wales. The cottage is a credit to Branwen and Paul. Thankyou

Lovely, absolutely beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

The property was beautiful, all fittings and furnishings were lovely.

The bed was wonderful, we had lovely sleeps.

It was close to all shops and we had no problems at all.

We could not have been happier with our hosts and our stay there.

We would also like to say we hope the new building is going well.

Thank you so much for a lovely and welcome stay.

About Branwen Bell

The cottage, Ffermdy Bach, is a self-contained part of our house, which is a traditional Welsh farmhouse.

We moved here in 1996 and now our daughters have left home we decided to make the most of our extra space!

The cottage has its own entrance and garden so you have your privacy and can come and go as you please.

Branwen Bell purchased this cottage in 1996

Guestbook comments from the owner

Very cosy cottage in a lovely spot. The weather has been mixed but we have still packed a lot in- Welsh Highland Railway, train down to Barmouth and the Fairbourne Railway, lovely walk at Morfa Nefyn, Portmeirion and several local walks.

Thanks for the milk and Welsh cakes!
