With it's easy access to the city of Peterborough Fen-Acre offers the best of two worlds rural and city. It's just 15 mins from Peterborough, a bustling Cathedral city yet in the heart of the Fens with it's big skies, quiet roads and low flat land. The ideal place for cycling for softies with miles of quiet roads and the well known Green Wheel that circles the city and gives access to the lovely Nene Park where cycling is so popular. The river Welland skirts the town and is popular with bird watchers and fishermen. Ride the water taxi into Spalding and visit Spalding and Springfields, an out of town shopping outlet. Drive the 15 mins into Peterborough and here the city has everything a family could want. Lots of activities both sporting and leisure as well as great shopping. Within a 30 minute drive you will find Burghley House (come for the Horse Trials in September), Rutland Water and Nene Park both a great days out, Tallington Lakes for the water sports and dry ski slope enthusiasts,and the historic stone town of Stamford, voted the Best place to Live in 2013. Fen-Acre prices are the same all through the year so with no increase in the school holidays it is ideal for families with a large secure garden with a zip-wire, trampoline, swings, and room to kick a ball. We are in our 60's have 4 daughters, 4 great son-in-laws and 9 grandchildren. We like to think that when our family visit they can relax, recharge their batteries and set off again reinvigorated. We enjoy welcoming them but try not to be too intrusive into their private lives, just offering support when needed. We apply the same principles to our holiday guests. We enjoy making people feel welcomed and comfortable but are aware that people like their space. Hopefully we provide an environment where all the practical needs are met so they are free to relax and concentrate on enjoying their break.

We love the fact that it is in a small town where everyone knows most people yet is still just a few minutes away from a bustling Cathedral city with all that has to offer. Excellent shopping, lovely country parks, large Country Estates and small thatched roofed villages dotted around and within easy reach of London and the A1. What makes this bungalow unique
We have tried to think of everything so you will find life easy whilst you are here. So if all you arrive with are your clothes, your money and your smiles (oh and lovely weather) that should be all you need.
- Booking Notes:
For bookings that are more than 4 weeks away a 25% deposit ir required to secure the dates with the balance payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings within that 4 week period payment is required in full at the time of booking.

Changeover days are Mondays and Fridays. Arrival at 2.30pm Departure at 10.30am

A discount is applied for bookings of 14 consecutive nights or more bringing the cost pr night down to £52 pr night

Activity and Interests
Just under 1 hours drive away is the north Norfolk resort of Hunstanton. Visit the main town for the pier and busy beaches or go to the far end of the resort to access the most beautiful, peaceful, sandy safe wide beaches of Old Hunstanton with it's sand dunes.
We are 1 hour from one of the main London airports, Stanstead. Just a short distance further on and easily accessible from the main M11 is London City airport. Also within the same distance are Luton and the East midlands airports.
Crowland has pubs, shops, doctors, chemist, hairdressers, butchers takeaways and a lovely highly regarded and very popular Italian restaurant. All are within a 10 minute walk. The beautiful and historic stone town of Stamford is a 25 minute drive away.
There are so many places to take children in this area that we have produced a 'What shall we do today? pack. Ice skating, sailing, ten pin, indoor play centres, petting farms, parks, cinemas all within a short drive (under 20 mins).

- Notes on accommodation: We have a large range of extras available for the elderly, infirm, and babies, at no extra cost. All linen is provided with beds made up for arrival, We also supply a breakfast starter pack so there is no need to go to the shops if you arrive late at night. Each unit has ample tea, coffee, sugar and cereals, along with basic cooking ingredients. Outside: The garden is large and secure, fully enclosed and suitable for children and dogs. There is a wide range of garden games available, garden chairs and a range of exciting play equipment. the zip-wire is a favourite as are the trampoline and swings. Directly accessible from The Lodge which also has a secure fully enclosed patio with table and chairs. Eastside guests also have full use of this garden, plus a decked area with table and chairs with views to the front of the property. However, the front garden is open so not suitable for children to play in unsupervised.
