About the property

Seascape, Sugar Hill, West coast of Barbados. - Villa In Sugar Hill Resort, A Private Gated Community Offering Four Tennis Courts And Two Pools

Seascape is a beautiful home on an elevated site with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea from both levels, even from the plunge pool! There are 3 ensuite bedrooms in the main house and a further bedroom in the self contained annex. It is tastefully furnished and fully air-conditioned.

The villa is set in Sugar Hill Resort which offers great amenities in a beautifully landscaped tropical setting with fantastic views of the Caribbean sea and stunning sunsets. It offers the security of a gated resort, and is only minutes from the beaches and restaurants of the West Coast.

Facilities include free use of 4 floodlit tennis courts, an air-conditioned gym and clubhouse with restaurant, bar and infinity pool. There is a second freeform swimming pool in the gardens. In addition, guests will receive beach club membership at Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel for the duration of their stay, which provides sunbeds and parasols on a beautiful stretch of beach. You also have access to their watersports at additional cost. Locally there are beach bars and restaurants, and the opportunity to swim with turtles!

Holetown, with its banks, shops and restaurants, is just a few minutes drive away. The Limegrove Centre has world class shopping, places to eat and drink, and a cinema. Further north, Speightstown gives you a more local flavour of Barbados.

Seascape is a very spacious home. All the bedrooms are en-suite. The master bedroom has a large bathroom and dressing area, and opens out onto a big private balcony. The kitchen has a big American fridge with ice maker, and is very well equipped. There is a large lounge with flat screen cable TV. The covered outside veranda is where you will want to spend most of your time; eating, reading and relaxing. This has comfy sofas to sit and enjoy the view. The square hardwood dining table comfortably seats 8, and there is a further table and chairs on the sun terrace below, along with two sun loungers and the sparkling plunge pool. The guest cottage is completely independent, with its own entrance, ensuite, and kitchenette - for those who would like their own space.

Paradise - amazing villa and holiday

  • 5 of 5

We stayed January 2017 at Seascape and had the most relaxing and enjoyable time. The villa is set in the most beautiful gardens and the sea view is something you couldn't help but stare at forever. The location is perfect with only a short trip down the hill to the beach. The villa is by far the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in. The facilities at Sugar hill are excellent as are those by the beach. We hired a car for our stay and did some great exploring of the island, it definitely worth driving to the east side of the island as it is so very different. Highly recommend both Seascape and Barbados.

Owner's Response: Thank you. We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday and were able to explore the island. There's certainly more to Barbados than the beach! We look forward to welcoming you again at Seascape.

Christmas at seascape

  • 5 of 5

The property was in beautiful condition with all the home comforts we needed.

Amazing views from the balconies and terrace.

Our housekeeper, Stacie worked very hard keeping the house clean and doing the laundry. She was lovely.

Would thoroughly recommend seascape.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Lovely property, very spacious and clean with a beautiful aspect (although owing to the weather we only saw 1 sunset)! . It had absolutely everything we needed with huge comfortable beds. Stacie (the housekeeper) was a star. Generous amount of tennis racquets/balls and beach equipment. Well organised and great customer service

beautiful house, fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

We had a really lovely holiday at this stunning property on the West Coast. The house was clean and well equipped, with everything that we wanted, and we loved the annex cottage.

There are plenty of places to eat within a few minutes drive, all excellent quality and price. Favourite things to do...... swim with turtles from beach just down the road, rum punch on the veranda watching sun go down, Hartes gardens............. Cant wait to return and will definitely stay here again!

What's good for Cliff Richards is good fo me

  • 5 of 5

Cliff Richard's house is also on Sugar Hill so you can pop down the lane and ask him for a cup of sugar. Medallion Man Simon Cowell has moved on from Sugar Hill (too up-market for him!).

Cliff's house cost about $5 million but, really, he wouldn't be slumming it at Seascape, which has more mod cons than I thought had been invented.

And the beds are extremely rare - none of them gave me a back-ache.

I love the furnishings and that of course must mean that it is in the best possible taste! The workmanship quality of furniture and fittings is first class.

I managed only 3 lengths in Sugar Hill's Club infinity pool - a 3-minute stroll across the lawn but still out of earshot. I prefer Seascape's own private pool because I managed 12 lengths! Actually, as plunge pools go it's not bad at all.

Location-wise you're just 5 or so minutes from all the places along St James Beach that are worth visiting for eating or celeb spotting: Coral Reef, Lone Star, Fish Pot, Sandpiper, The Cliff (but get a second mortgage), Sandy Lane (but get a third mortgage) and Holetown is only 5 minutes away and has a brilliant supermarket and some really cute places a walk-away for an excellent yet inexpensive breakfast or afternoon tea .... or a Chanel handbag if you're that type of person.

The owners Gill and Graham Harrison are reliable, kind and thoughtful. Even though they are most professional we didn't feel we were in a business rental property.

My wife came for my sake - she is a pale-skin redhead who burns up easily in the sun and all too often gets badly bitten. But she was blister-free and bite-free this time. And she was as sad to leave as I was. That has to be the acid test.

It enjoys 3000 hours of sunshine annually and average temperatures of 84-88* F (29-31*C) On the rare occasions when it rains, the spectacle is worth seeing! The sea is glorious -- warm, clear and safe. The local currency is the Barbados $ but US $ are also taken. The tap water is filtered through coral so not only safe to drink but also delicious!
