Perfectly situated between Exmoor and Dartmoor, this east wing of the farmhouse offers a comfortable base from which to explore North Devon’s best attractions. A delightful retreat for the whole family, offering peace and tranquillity but an ideal spot for touring the local area. The wonderful North Devon coastline is a short drive.

Why Richard and Alison Purchase chose North Devon

We fell in love with the house and whilst we knew a lot of work would be needed to make it a comfortable home it has been worthwhile. We live in a tremendously friendly village, have made great friends and in hindsight can't think why we didn't move sooner!

What makes this cottage unique

The Cottage forms a wing of the farmhouse, is completely self contained and represents the original building much of which dates back to 1628. Having been completely modernised with new heating and a wood burner the cottage is as one guest said; "home from home".

A friend and I enjoyed our week in this comfortable two bedroom cottage attached to an old farmhouse

It was a completely quiet setting with spacious rooms throughout and two full-sized bathrooms with plenty of hot water. The owners were welcoming and a source of useful information...even showing us around the farm animals.

All the best sights of North Devon (and Cornwall and Somerset) were within driving range. Our favourites were Ilfracombe, Bideford, Clovelly, Bude Exmoor and RHS Rosemoor. Be warned, if you would like to make a day trip to Lundy Island it is necessary to book a few days early.

It was the perfect spot for us to stay and it would also suit families with children.

Ruhige Lage , tolle Ausstattung

Uns hat der Aufenthalt in dem Cottage sehr gefallen. Wir waren zu dritt, um unsere Tochter zu einem 3. monatigen Internatsaufenthalt zu bringen. Das Cottage eignet sich nur für Autofaher und ist auch nicht ganz einfach zu finden, so dass ein Navi empfehlenswert ist. Der Vermieter war sehr hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, so dass wir die Tage in Devon sehr genossen haben.
