This large and spacious open plan sea-side home is set in two acres of land with indoor swimming pool & gym, pool table, table tennis, adventure climbing frame, trampoline and fenced in area with chickens. With 5 double bedrooms and one children's dormitory sleeping 7 (lower bunks are doubles) a playroom/cinema room, large living room with sofa seating 8-10, open plan kitchen/dining room, with two dining areas. This house is very spacious and light. There is also an exterior games room/bar/dining area/yoga studio. A mile and a half away from West Wittering Beach and Itchenor harbour, the house is surrounded by beautiful country walks and cycle rides. The historic town of Chichester is approximately 5 miles away with its famous theatre and cathedral. Just behind it lie the South Downs and Goodwood, with its race course, golf and various cultural festivals. Chichester golf club is approximately 3 miles away. Booking is 7 days minimum.

Amazing property, perfect in every way!

This property is amazing and palatial. The grounds are huge, with air streams dotted around! There's a children's playground at the bottom of the very long and wide garden/grounds. The pool is incredible. The kids had so much fun. The adults enjoyed lovely swims, table tennis, pool, long walks, beach trips. There is so much room in the house, underfloor heating, gorgeous outlook onto the wonderful gardens. There's even a skate ramp! There is so much to this house, full drum kit, Nerf guns galore, Barbies and toys for all kids young and old! A playroom with a projector, Netflix with many films, the list of things to do goes on! Oh, forgot to mention the gym equipment. Wonderful bathrooms, modern showers, huge walk in wardrobes, beautiful verandahs, comfy beds with lots to choose from. A very large breakfast room, separate snug, utility room bigger than most people's kitchens! Great cooking facilities/dishwasher/tumble dryer etc A sweeping in and out drive with room for many cars. Superb location, not far from Chichester Marina, The Witterings. The pictures don't do the accommodation justice, it really is an awesome property!

The Yeo / Llewellyn / Mason Christmas in Itchenor

Our large family really wanted a change of scenery for the Christmas period this year so we descended upon this stunning house in Itchenor armed with pets, kids and enough food and drink to survive a nuclear attack. The house was perfect, everything that one could want for a fun family Christmas was there. Plenty of room to cook and imbibe, room for the kids to play and a swimming pool to burn off a few calories after lunch. The area is gorgeous too and our only regret was that the weather prevented us from exploring more. When we return (if Georgina will have us) we will make sure its during a period of finer weather. Thanks to Georgie and her family for allowing us the use of their lovely house and for patiently assisting with anyqueries that we had. A great week had by all.

WOW!

What a week we had in The Lodge! The house was stunning and big enough for 3 families ranging from 1 to 60. The corner kitchen table was ideal for having breakfast and we had more than enough room for everyone (had a couple of visitors one day) at the more formal dining table. It had all the equipment anybody would need for any occasion and there was so much to do for all including swimming, pool, table football and x-box. We were lucky with the weather and so a lot of time was spent outdoors playing tennis, rounders, football, adventure playground and, of course, the seasonal easter egg hunt x 2. Unfortunately we weren't organised enough to use the BBQ. Visited The Lamb for Easter Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. This is only a 10 minute walk away (if you don't go by the main road which would be even shorter). We also had 2 visits to the Ship Inn at Itchenor Harbour following a lovely walk with lots of tree climbing. We had a trip to Harbour Park which was about 20 minutes away and fish & chips on the beach - what's not to like. All in all we had a brilliant time here and the children now want to go back every weekend (if only it were possible!).

We are the Knight family, Georgina & Ricky, with four children Zac, Rocco, Jude & Joss.

The children love riding their bikes, playing in the sand dunes at East Head, surfing and sailing, crabbing from the jetties at Itchenor and playing in the sea for hours on end in the summer.

We have a very busy life at home and at work, running a marketing agency in Chichester.

Why they chose this property

We love the outdoor lifestyle of offer in the area. The sandy beach at West Wittering is fantastic for children and renowned for its outstanding water sport activities, whether kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding, surfing or Kitesurfing. There are also great walks for dogs. The house is located opposite the Salterns Way Cycle path.

What makes this property unique

This house presents a wonderful entertaining space for up to 4 families wanting to get together. We are a few minutes drive away from West Wittering's famous beach and just a cycle away from the sailing club at Itchenor across the Salterns Way cycle path. The garden is huge, with vast amounts of space both inside and outside perfect for large groups and entertaining and lots to do for children. The pool is warm all year round and has a large gym matt for more fun!
