About this property

Set in a peaceful village location with stunning mountain views to the rear, this is the perfect place for a relaxing break surrounded by the beautiful Northern Portugal scenery. Conveniently located for accessing natural parks for walking and wildlife yet close to many of the major cities in the region. This is a relatively undiscovered and unspoilt region of Portugal with many interesting things to see and do. The historic cities Porto, Guimaraes and Braga are within easy reach. You can also be at the beach within the hour but for those who prefer something closer there are plenty of river beaches to be found locally. If you just want to relax then why not just enjoy a glass of the local Vinho Verde on the terrace whilst taking in the view.

Beautiful and well maintained house in lovely and rual area.

Very clean and well equipped house. The communication with the owner was very good when we had questions. Thanks Andy! The area is great for walking and sightseeing. There are plenty of maps and flyers for day trips in the house to get inspired. Unfortunately, the weather was not to good, at the time we were there to get much use of the pool or the BBQ. But we still enjoyed our break by exploring and hiking in this really beautiful area of Portugal.

An excellent villa in a lovely location.

A lovely property and a brilliant pool. Best view ever from the terrace. We had a lovely time and really hope to go back.

The house is lovely spacious and very well equiped. The pool is an added bonus and very clean.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday in Villa Nune A quiet village only a few minutes away from a small town and several other quaint villages. The view from the patio and the pool was fantastic and we didn`t move very much at all during the first week. During he second week we explored a few of the towns recommended in the information folder that Rachael and Andy had compiled for visitors which was very helpful. Would love to visit again sometime. Photos don't do this property justice

Our first impression of the property was that the pictures don't do the property or the view justice, it was like arriving at our own patch of paradise. The pool area is a wow with the most amazing views and so very private. Fabulous size Pool, far bigger than you would imagine for a villa of this size. The sun can be enjoyed all day. Once inside the villa you get the same impression. Proper home from home and the website hadn't mentioned an en-suite to the master bedroom so that was a bonus. We left a few bottles of wine, some long life milk and packets of cereals to add to the stocks in the cupboards. Sorry no Port though that can be bought for 3 euros a bottle at the supermarket! Spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of towels and fans in each bedroom helped to make the stay even more enjoyable. The great touch for our family was the library of DVDs that made up for no wifi, however, with data roaming charges being stopped by the mobile company we did all have 3G and phone signal. I would recommend this property for families with toddlers, older children and teenagers as well as an ideal romantic get away. The pool has a lockable gate so no worries about little ones falling in when not supervised.

Really lovely villa with good facilities and amazing views.clean and homely. great pool!

We loved the fact it was in the countryside and had wonderful views over the mountains. The villa was comfortable and well equipped and suited us with 4 children. Dvds and books available to sit inside if it was too hot. The fans we're ok but not brilliant as it was still hot inside at night which made it uncomfortable. The pool was the Best we've ever had on holiday! Good size and warm . Overall a wonderful place and we would stay again.
