Amblers rest is a well presented property on the outskirts of Amble Town Centre. Recently refurbished to a high standard the semi detached property is the ideal cottage for all types of holidays. Within walking distance to the Harbour and the Town Centre it is in the perfect location for all holiday makers. It is close to all of northumberlands glorious beaches and historic sights. A perfect location for all types of users.

Near to the coast

Loads of character but was in need of a lot off care and attention

The town of amble has a lot to offer and has a lot of money being ploughed in to rejuvenate the harbour.

What makes this house unique

It is prime location, you could walk for 3 minute in many different directions. One direction will take you to the beach, another to the harbour, another to a big green, and another to the shops, pubs and restaurants.

Location

Coast/Beach:

There is a small beach literally 2 minutes away from the property. Warkworth beach is 2 miles south or the other option is druridge bay country Park which is 2 mile south which offers a beach, a lakes and trails.

Travel:

The nearest airport is newcastle international approx 25 miles drive. Alnmouth train station is 5 miles away and has regular links north and south.

Distances:

Amble town centre is a 5 minute walk from the property. The town centre has many excellent eateries, quirky shops and unique cafés. The market towns of Alnwick and Morpeth are a 15 minute drive away north and south.

Further Details:

There is a swimming pool and gym 5 minutes away from the property which is available for public use. There is a tesco and a coop in Amble, for bigger supermarkets there is a Lidl, Sainsburys and Morrisons in Alnwick.

Notes on accommodation: All power and linen included in the rent. Mains gas central heating. Parking nearby. Towels are not provided. 1 large or 2 small dogs allowed for a £10 supplement. Travel Cot and highchair available on request also a £10 supplement. Outside: To the rear of the property there is a shared yard with the adjoining properties. Part of the yard is partitioned off especially for this property. You may use the gates to go to and from the property. When bringing dogs to the property, We ask to please be courteous of the neighbours as they have pets too. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen is included in the price, this will be fresh for your arrival and will get changed when you depart. There will be various spares kept within the property in case. Towels are not provided.

We had a lovely time

Good overall experience, house well equipped, clean and welcoming. Initial problem with keys quickly sorted out. It was very difficult to find the property, there is no road sign that says John St, you need to look for Newburgh st/rd and Marine road. Position was good, near lots of restaurants, glad we went.

A very nice Cottage

It was a lovely cottage in a nice quiet part of the town. We enjoyed visiting a new area the beaches just went on and on. The locals were all very friendly and only pleased to offer help. We would of liked some information on where and how to recycle glass and what went in what bin. This could be included in the infomation pack in the cottage.

Very comfortable and well equipped

Although very close to the sea and harbour there wasn't any view so as we had one day when the weather was very heavy rain we felt rather shut away. Love the county and the beaches were great for the dog.

Perfect location, great property

We have stayed here on previous visits to Amble and keep on returning as we think this is one of the best holiday let properties. Fully furnished to a high standard with plenty of space and a very nice welcome pack when you arrive especially after a 5 hour drive from London.

Great stay in Amble, excellent property in a very friendly village.

Ambler's Rest on John Street had good reviews and they were not wrong. The property has been tastefully decorated and given excellent finishing touches. We were welcomed with fresh flowers, wine and other provisions.

The house is in an ideal location, being minutes from the sea with views of Coquet Island, close to the harbour with the chance of taking a 'Puffin Cruise' - should the sea be calm enough!.

There are a variety of good places to eat for both main meals, snacks and ices. A new lobster hatchery opened four weeks before our visit and gives a very introduction to the conservation project.

You're not too far from Alnwick and the delightful 'Barter Books' which is always a joy to visit.

Highly recommended.
