I have lived between Roses and Bournemouth for many years and refurbished this apartment to provide all the comforts that I enjoy in the UK. I am retired and enjoy travelling and would like to let out my apartment to like minded people. Having spent many months each year in Roses for more than 30 years I know the area well and can recommend plenty of great places to visit. A fantastic apartment ideally located with amazing views and a lovely pool.

We had a fabulous time in Roses and this apartment was brilliant. The apartment is spacious, fully equipped and has an outstanding terrace with truly amazing views. The pool was a real bonus too and we really liked everything about the accommodation. The owner was very helpful and gave us lots of information about what to do and where to go. We liked the town, it has loads going on and plenty to do which suited us and our 2 teenagers. We would highly recommend this property and this area of Spain.

Lovely apartment, close to town/beach/shops

The apartment is fitted out beautifully with 1 twin room and 1 double room. The open plan kitchen and living area is spacious and well laid out, perfect for small groups. On arrival the apartment was all very tidy and clean, The views from the balcony and the pool are stunning, and great for watching the sunset in the evening.

We did not hire a car, nor did we wish we had at any point. Absolutely everything we needed was within walking distance; however if you do require a car there is parking available. The choice of restaurants in the town, a short walk away, is endless. I recommend Can Granyella, both the food and hospitality were brilliant, and Dolce Vita if you're looking for pizza, I'm told it's the best. There is a Spar and butchers about halfway down towards the beach, and a caprabo a similar distance down the next road. For a day out, if you get the chance, a trip to Cadaques is an incredible experience. You can drive on the roads through the mountains, or catch the catamaran for a ride around the bay.

All in all, a lovely apartment situated within a short distance of bars, restaurants and shops, in a beautiful area of Spain with so much to do. We stayed for a just a week but vowed to return next year.

Location

From the Owner

We sold a larger house in the mountains just outside Roses but wanted to keep a smaller, more manageable place within the area. This small part of Spain has been a favourite for many years, you can travel by car through France taking an overnight stop or, as we have done a few times, just sprint down and relax when you arrive. Alternatively take a flight into Gerona and rent a small car at the airport. The apartment is set in one of the quiet residential areas and provides a perfect haven away from the crowds with a sun soaked terrace and a pool to cool off in. I will always have a home in Roses, it is such a beautiful place and the perfect climate.

Travel:

45 minutes drive from Gerona airport. There is an SARFA bus that travels from Gerona to Rosas and airport transfers are available. We recommend that you consider hiring a small car which will enable you to tour the area, these are available from the airport via all the major hire companies.

Great restaurants, miles of super clean beaches, very friendly people and plenty of interesting places to visit including Empuriabrava, The Plain of Amperdan, Cadaques (one of the prettiest fishing ports) and the Dali museum in Figueras. Or you can do none of it and just relax soaking up the sunshine and reading one of the many books provided whilst ignoring the outside world..... perfect either way!
