A recently fully redecorated bright former fisherman’s cottage with 3 bedrooms located on Bonaventure Road, with internet access, private parking for 1 car and separate garage. There is a garden to the front of the property with seating and BBQ. Located close to the tennis club and the Spar. A short walk to the town centre and beaches. A well behaved dog is allowed (a £20 charge per week will apply). Friday to Friday lettings.

3 Moorland View is owned by Rupert and Rosie Joseland and their 2 children, TJ and Benjy.

We have been coming to Salcombe for over 20 years staying at friend’s houses and always dreamed of buying a holiday home in Salcombe.

We purchased 3 Moorland View in August 2014 and had the cottage fully redecorated and re carpeted along with new furniture and soft furnishings.

Notes on accommodation: One well behaved dog is welcome on the ground floor only and we ask that it does not go upstairs or on any of the furniture. Outside: Private garden to the front of property with 3 terraces. Garden furniture and gas BBQ. A private car parking space opposite the cottage is provided. A separate garage provides additional car parking and storage for wetsuits etc. Utility Room: Accessed off the kitchen with fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Additional storage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The cottage has pillows and duvets. Towels and linen will be provided for full weeks stay in high and mid seasons. The house will be clean on arrival and please leave in the same state. A cleaner can be arranged on request. Other: The conservatory is situated off the kitchen with a sofa and 2 armchairs, leading to small patio area.

Lovely, welcoming and comfortable cottage

My Mum and I and my two children, had a really lovely stay at this beautiful cottage in Salcombe. It is beautifully furnished with many thoughtful personal and homely touches. The photos almost don't do it justice. Salcombe is a delightful place to stay, and my son loved crabbing off the quay and searching the rock pools at the nearby beaches. We particularly enjoyed Thurlestone beach.

And the Salcombe Coffee Company in town does delicious coffee and fruit muffins.

It's worth noting that the cottage is a short walk from the centre of Salcombe.. but like many places is up a steep hill. Good for the digestion after dinner out in the evening and lovely views walking down to Salcombe.

Fabulous cottage

Fabulous well equipped and nicely decorated cottage in a great location.

We had a lovely long weekend with our dog, Rupert and Rosie even provided details of suggested dog walks as well as restaurants. Booking was simple and straight forward - Rosie was very pleasant to deal with.

Highly recommended and we will definitely book again!!

The most fabulous week spent in this beautifully renovated cottage..my two tibetan terriers and myself could not have wished for anything more, there is a beautifully fitted large dining kitchen and a cosy sitting room with TV however i spent all of my time in the bright and peaceful conservatory ..

I lived it so much here that i booked for another week in October as soon as i got home ... Not wanting to wish my lufe away but october cant come soon enough for me and my furbabies 😃

Great cottage, good location

We stayed in 3 Moorland View for a few days for a short honeymoon. The cottage is ideal for a get away from it all break.

It has been recently redecorated to a very high standard with a good eye for detail.

The layout is good with a cozy front room and a large, well equipped kitchen with a conservatory and larder leading from it. Outside the conservatory is a small courtyard ideal for drying clothes.

The first floor has a small but functional bathroom and two good sized double bedrooms with a king sized bed in one and two singles in the other. The second floor has another double room in the eves with a king sized bed and a small en-suite WC.

Our dog came with us, and it was a refreshing change to have such a nicely decorated cottage being pet friendly.

The location is good, with it just being a few minutes walk into the centre of Salcombe, although those who have difficulty walking may find the hill a bit of a struggle.

Salcombe itself is ideal for what we wanted. Lots of country walks to explore with a couple of nice pubs with open fires to relax in front of on our return to the town.

The correspondence we had with Rosie and Rupert was excellent and extremely friendly.

We would definitely recommend the cottage to either couples or families.

Salcombe has some great beaches. On the far side of the estuary are a number of beaches including our favourite Mill Bay and Sunny Cove. These can be reached via the ferry that is accessed down the steps by The Ferry Pub. On the same side of the estuary is North Sands and South Sands. There is parking at both and you can walk along the cliff road to North Sands.

Further afield there are also other good beaches such as Bantham and Thurlestone.


The cottage is 1/2 mile from Fore Street in Salcombe. Kingsbridge is 6.5 miles and Plymouth 24 miles away.

Further Details:

Salcombe has 4 pubs, a number of restaurants and plenty of shopping. A Spar convenience shop is located on Loring Road, a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. The Tennis Club is situated on Bonaventure Road.
