We've had a great time , Hammered the trails and no big crashes( which is a first). Hot Tub was great especially on the clear star-gazing nights.

We just spent a weekend at Woodburn Cottage, and had the most relaxing, and stress free weekend. The cottage was spotless, with everything you would need to have a successful break. Great kitchen, lovely decking, fantastic bathroom, beds to sink into. sky tv, internet access, and that hot tob. Did not want to get out of that, And to top it all off, we had great weather. We cant wait to go back.
Fantastic New Year break
We stayed here for a week over new year. The lodge is fantastic, clean and bright, really comfortable beds and fantastic shower. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. It's in a lovely area with walks on the doorstep and great views from the lodge. Also has full sky tv with movies & sports, free wifi. Then you've got the hot tub too, which is the biggest and best we've had at a lodge. I could happily live here, we loved it so much we've booked to stay again this April and over new year again. We had a power cut on our first night and had to phone Nigel the owner, he came out straight away, even though it turned out to be a fault at the local sub station/ electricity company and nothing to do with the lodge. He made sure everything was ok, great service from him. All in all a fantastic lodge and place to spend a relaxing week.
Arrived at the lodge on a snowy SUnday with my wife and disabled father in law. First impressions were great. Second impressions on entering the propeerty was fantastic. clean warm great shower. The hot tub was fantastic iont he cold evening air.. bedrooms were a very good size, and the beds were very comfortable. would certainly book this place again.
Well done Nigel and Heather.
We had a fantastic week here! The lodge itself is lovely and peaceful and very well maintained with everything you need and more for a comfortable stay. The interior is modern and stylish yet cosy too. The hot tub was pure luxury and we wished we could take it home...we even got the pleasure of experiencing it in the snow! Mustn't forget mentioning that the beds were really comfy too. So much to do in the surrounding area and very central. Cream of Galloway, Mabie Farm park and Cocoa bean factory were big hits with our 2 boys (aged 10 & 7). Lots of good bike trails too for all abilities. Would definitely recommend staying here.
We would definitely recommend this lodge, it was very well equipped and beautifully furnished. Very well located for us, as we wanted a quiet area but was a short distance from everything we needed. We spent time in Mabie and Dalbeattie forests mountain biking as well as visiting Mabie farm park, all close by. Nigel the owner was very useful in providing information on local mountain biking routes. The hot tub was a real treat and was great after being on our bikes during the day. We would definitely stay again.
