Lovely dog friendly cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have just had 2 sunny weeks in Cobble Cottage with our Pugs.

The cottage is in a superb location, it's almost in the park and very close to Hornsea town centre. Which has a good range of small independent shops as well as a Tesco and a Co op. There is also a very nice Museum which we visited.

The cottage has every thing you need and as stated has a sun trap of a courtyard garden which is also dog secure.

Cleanliness is to a high standard and the living area is of a good size. Parking, we have quite a large car (BMW X3) and found the parking adequate.

Anne the owner is very nice, easy to talk to and helpful.

In conclusion, Cobble cottage is highly recommended for all couples (+1) with dog's or not, in a short walking distance of the Park, Town centre and beach.

Walking tour suggestion, Bridlington Old Town tour, it's the location of the new Dad's Army Film.

Thanks for every thing Anne, Tom & Veronica

Great holiday home

  • 5 of 5

Super cosy cottage in Hornsea, well sited near the village centre, shops 5 minutes walk away. The cottage backs onto a park which was excellent for my two dogs, and the beach is just a 10 minute walk away. Plenty of places to see in the area, loved Burton Constable and Beverley. The owner was very nice and easily approachable. The cottage had wifi which was a bonus, allowing me to watch the Barca/ Madrid match (pity about the result). Cannot fault the cottage or location, well worth another visit!

Beautiful home from home cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have just arrived back from a weeks stay at Cobble Cottage and what a wonderful week we have had. The cottage itself was everything we wanted. It's location is a small walk away from the town and beach and is positioned close to all amenities. We own a large vehicle and the parking space was ample and not a problem. Everything in the cottage was very clean and tidy . There is a beautiful small enclosed garden at the rear of the cottage which is perfect for dogs and a lovely park just around the corner . The owner made us feel very welcome by leaving milk, tea ,coffee etc in the cupboards . There is also a washing machine and ironing facilities which is a great help . We could not have wished for any thing better . Through out the week we felt totally at home and cannot wait to visit again and Anne the owner is a pleasure to speak to . Thank you Anne for a lovely weeks holiday .

The best dog-friendly cottage I have ever rented

  • 5 of 5

This cottage has everything you need for a week or more away from home. Fully equipped and spotlessly clean, it's in a great location next to a lovely park and only a 10-minute walk to the local beach, though there are plenty of other beaches just a short drive away.

Although the cottage stands on a main road it is not a busy one and in any case the principal bedroom is at the rear of the house. The courtyard garden, though tiny, is a real sun trap and thanks to its high fences is safe for your dog.

The garden has a table and chairs and a bench seat. We were lucky enough to catch a warm week in April and were able to eat breakfast outside every day.

There's off-street parking at the side of the house, which was is fine for a medium-sized hatchback but estates and people carriers might struggle.

The owner was a pleasure to deal with and we found fresh milk in the fridge and tea and coffee in the cupboards along with useful cooking ingredients such as oil and spices.

The furniture and the beds are very comfortable and there's a good selection of books, DVDs, games and CDs if you're stuck for something to do in the evening - or you can catch up on your correspondence in the small study where there's a strong broadband signal.

I thoroughly recommend Cobble Cottage to couples and 'couples plus one'. It may sleep only three people but it is actually very spacious in the living areas.

I'll definitely be paying another visit.
