Grove Cottage is a beautiful traditional stone built detached house set over 3 floors, with a bright modern interior that is both comfortable and homely. It sleeps 4 and benefits from off lane parking and a delightfully long riverside garden. The lower floor is a handy basement, with outside access, for accommodating beach gear, walking paraphernalia, fishing tackle etc. Bikes can also be stored outside under the patio. The main living area is open plan with a stylish kitchen and dining area at one end and a comfortable sitting area, surrounding a log fire, at the other. Sliding doors lead to the balcony that has a spiral staircase down to the garden. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The rear bedroom is a double and the other is a twin. All the creature comforts are provided including satellite TV, DVD and Wifi. microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, baby chair and baby cot. The cottage has electric heaters and storage heaters, the running costs of which are included in the hire cost. There is a log fire and logs and kindling can be supplied at a very reasonable rate (if required). Additional items comprise a gas BBQ, children’s surf boards, crab lines and nets, wind breaks, plus games, puzzles and books. The owners live down the road and can be contacted.

Bookings taken for Friday to Friday but can be flexible for Saturday to Saturday. Very flexible for out-of-season short stays.

There is a no smoking policy for the property and pets are not allowed – sorry.

Coast/Beach:

Solva is in a National Park and is well known for its harbour, its sandy beach and the quay, shops, pubs, cafes and, more recently, as the film location for a new cinema adaptation of Dylan Thomas’s Under Milk Wood.

There is easy access to the coastal path and visitors will delight in the views of St Brides Bay. Many walks start in Solva and will take the adventurer either along the stunning coast or into the interior of the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Cardiff, nearest train station Haverfordwest. Solva is 11 miles from Haverfordwest and there are taxi and bus services available.

Ferry service from Ireland comes into Goodwich (Fishguard).

Distances:

3 miles to St Davids, 11 miles to Haverforwest, 15 miles to Fishguard.

Please visit grovecottagesolva.net to check availability, prices, terms & conditions and to download a booking form. Bookings taken on a Friday to Friday basis (unless a Saturday to Saturday has been agreed) and commence, unless otherwise notified, at 3 pm on the day of arrival and terminate at 11 am on the day of departure. Flexible on bookings for short stays out of season.

Changeover Day:
Fridays. But can be flexible for short stays out-of-season.

Notes on prices:
Short breaks (3-5 nights) available out of season - except Christmas and New Year weeks.

£30% deposit with booking, balance 8 weeks before holiday. Full payment required if less than 8 weeks. Payments by Cheque, bank transfer or Paypal.

There is a patio with chairs and a table, a gas BBQ is provided along with children’s surf boards, crab lines and nets and a wind break. Utility Room: Washing machine, Fridge/Freezer Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen: Sheets, Duvets, Pillowcases and Tea Towels are included in the rental cost. For bookings longer than a week, a fresh set can be supplied each week. The Hirer is required to supply their own towels. Other: The Patio leads off the living room and the lower floor is a handy basement, with outside access, for accommodating beach gear, walking paraphernalia, fishing tackle etc. Bikes can also be stored outside under the patio. A gas BBQ is also provided.
