Fantastic rural cottage on Shropshire / Worcestershire border, near Ludlow

Overview

Property

Updated: 04-Dec-2016
Romantic cottage in peaceful countryside close to Ludlow and Tenbury Wells

Hop Pickers’ House is a refurbishment of the old travelling hop-pickers’ barn accommodation. The building has been welcoming visitors for hundreds of years – and is what we call ‘lustic’ – rustic and full of character, but in a luxurious kind of way. A perfect spot to relax and get away from it all!

We’re just a couple of miles from the riverside town of Tenbury Wells and a ‘stone’s throw’ from historic Ludlow, with its famous restaurants, markets and festivals.

Hop Pickers’ House is situated in a quiet rural location, adjacent to Brook Farm and surrounded by nine acres of gardens, meadow and woodland. This provides a sense of seclusion and tranquillity, as well as a perfect opportunity for a stroll before dinner or a walk with the dog.

Hop Pickers’ House has a spacious open plan layout – relax in rocking chairs beside the wood-burning stove, enjoy breakfast at the farmhouse table, check your e-mails while watching the geese waddling across the lawn, settle down on a cosy sofa with a cup of tea or cuddle up in a really cosy king-size four poster bed, listening to the barn owls.

Facilities

From the Owner

We're on the borders of three of the most picuresque English counties - Shropshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. A great place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, visit some of the prettiest towns or dine in some of the country's best restaurants. Tenbury's known as the "town in the orchard" and the local cider alone is worth a visit!
