Detached property in a peaceful location close to Lake Windermere and all it's activities. Fantastic local walks from the door. Sleeping 14/16 in 7 bedrooms all with own TV. 5 bathrooms. Large open plan dining/ lounge with real multi fuel fire, large screen TV and huge covered outside balcony overlooking the lake and mountains. Free WiFi available in the property.

Snug area has TV/DVD and numerous books and games.

The modern kitchen boasts a large electric range, washer, 2 fridges, freezer and dishwasher.

This 3 story property also houses further fridges, freezers and a washer/dryer in utility rooms on the middle and lower floors.

Parking on private driveway for approximately 5 cars.

Plenty of storage space within the property for bikes etc in the utility rooms with direct access from outside.

Space to hire hot tubs (please discuss with owner) in the beautiful parkland style garden which also provides seating for 16 on the terrace where you can sip champagne and enjoy the atmosphere and peaceful surroundings.

We love the feel of our beautiful house at the top of a cul-de-sac in a park situation with views of the lake and of the mountains. Fabulous! Whilst it is on the edge of Bowness-on-Windermere it is only a short walk into town. We just love it!

What makes this house unique

Our home could be your home for 3 or more nights. You could bring your friends or family and stay and enjoy yourselves in our super house. No waiting for the bathroom and plenty of hot water. Relax in our comfortable lounge or snug or sit on the balcony. It is possible to sit outside under the balcony canopy even if it is raining. With a drink in hand you can sit on the balcony watching the wildlife and admiring the views.

Amazing property

We hired this property for a birthday celebration. The bedroom layout and logistics worked well.

+ amazing property great facilities

+ enough room for all to relax

+ fab views

+ outside caterers could work efficiently because of the layout

+ all guests had a room and bathroom that was appropriate (chn didn't all need ensuite- some shared)

+plenty pf parking

+ Had an amazing time

- without a map/sat nav hard to find

a perfect place to stay

A lovely beautiful house in windermere. This house gave us so much opportunity to bond and spend a quality time with friends. The best spot of the house during our stay is the Living Room, Dining Room and the kitchen because this is where it all happened the happy moments and bonding time with friends during our stay. The location of the house is quiet, and it offers a good view of the lake.

We had a problem with the heating in some rooms on our arrival but the owner quickly gave as assistance to sort this out. It will be good if there are shower curtains on some bathrooms because everytime we use the shower, it always flood on the floor. Theres a little glass wall beside the shower but this doesnt do the job well and water still leak and flood the floor when shower are in use.

I highly recommend this house if you are in a large group.... and if the purpose of your travel is to bond and spend quality time with your friends or family apart from seeing the beauty of lake district, then this house is what you need.

Clean, tidy, ideal location and great view.

We booked to stay here for a big family holiday. It provided everything we needed. We were very happy with the property. It's ideally located for day trips around the lakes. It was clean and tidy throughout.

The wifi was hit and miss at times and depending on your network the signal and 3G/4G will vary.

Would definitely recommend this property.

Staddlestones - lots of bedrooms but not much else

We were a party of 6 adults and 4 children and we would have struggled if there had been the number originally intended. Plenty of bedrooms but the living/catering space does not match it. The outside facilities are very poor with 2 round tables and a summer house that badly needs replacing. Kitchen/laundry facilities on three levels may suit some but we did not like it and the serving hatch between the kitchenette and bedroom covered only by a broken roller blind was very poor. Some heaters did not work and we did not like the small wash hand basins in the shower rooms.

We have been using Heart of the Lakes and Lakelovers for the last twenty years or so and this property did not meet the standards we have come to expect.
