Detached property in a peaceful location close to Lake Windermere and all it's activities. Fantastic local walks from the door. Sleeping 14/16 in 7 bedrooms all with own TV. 5 bathrooms. Large open plan dining/ lounge with real multi fuel fire, large screen TV and huge covered outside balcony overlooking the lake and mountains. Free WiFi available in the property.

Snug area has TV/DVD and numerous books and games.

The modern kitchen boasts a large electric range, washer, 2 fridges, freezer and dishwasher.

This 3 story property also houses further fridges, freezers and a washer/dryer in utility rooms on the middle and lower floors.

Parking on private driveway for approximately 5 cars.

Plenty of storage space within the property for bikes etc in the utility rooms with direct access from outside.

Space to hire hot tubs (please discuss with owner) in the beautiful parkland style garden which also provides seating for 16 on the terrace where you can sip champagne and enjoy the atmosphere and peaceful surroundings.

We love the feel of our beautiful house at the top of a cul-de-sac in a park situation with views of the lake and of the mountains. Fabulous! Whilst it is on the edge of Bowness-on-Windermere it is only a short walk into town. We just love it!

What makes this house unique

Our home could be your home for 3 or more nights. You could bring your friends or family and stay and enjoy yourselves in our super house. No waiting for the bathroom and plenty of hot water. Relax in our comfortable lounge or snug or sit on the balcony. It is possible to sit outside under the balcony canopy even if it is raining. With a drink in hand you can sit on the balcony watching the wildlife and admiring the views.

Perfect accommodation for our large family!

We had a brilliant week away for a family celebration. The accommodation was ideal for 10 adults and 5 children - all under 5. Plenty of room for us all! It was a great base for visiting lots of places in the Lakes.

Fabulous House in a lovely position. Perfect venue for a large party of friends or family.

I stayed at 'Saddlestones' with 12 girlfriends for a weekend to celebrate my birthday.

It is a fabulous venue for a large party of guests. The house is in a lovely position overlooking Lake Windermere, in a quiet spot just a few miles out of Bowness.

The house itself is well equipped and has a great open lounge and dining area with the bonus of a large covered balcony with lovely views over the lake.

There are different garden views out of every bedroom to enjoy.

We had a caterer in one evening to cook and serve dinner whom I can highly recommend. The house is a perfect venue for this with the large dining table and all the facilities, we enjoyed drinks on the balcony whilst our dinner was cooked for us!

The caterer is Jeanette Morant www.lakedistrictcatering.co.uk

It was lovely to enjoy the venue and all its facilities and we had the best evening without having to leave the lovely house.

Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 'Saddlestones' for your stay in The Lakes for a large party of guests, it is FABULOUS!

Ideal place for family get-together

Very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped accommodation - ideal for large groups as ample room to be together and also to find a quiet place to sit. The outside balcony seats 12 around tables comfortably and offers great views across Windermere - it's sheltered if the rain falls and a sun trap if you're lucky.

Fabulous house, fabulous location

A lovely house for large party's

The property is well equipped and to a good standard

All people in the party were extreamly happy and would love to return. The position is a little way from Bowness but as a large group we didn't need to be be so near anyway. The outside seating area and veranda are lovely places to relax and the number of bathrooms was absolutely fantastic.

The only small niggles were nowhere to store cupboard items in kitchen and a few mattresses could do with replacing.

We have an ongoing programme of replacing items such as mattresses, carpets etc. This year we have replaced the settees in the living area, had new carpets fitted to a number of rooms as well as new mattresses to a couple of the beds. Mattresses are personal to individuals and so will not always suit the person in terms of how soft or firm they are. With regard to cupboard space we will have a look at whether there is anything further we can do, however there is always plenty of cupboard space in the utility areas.
