Wonderful cottage right in town

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location near the end of a quiet street. Quick walk to the center of town. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for breakfast and a couple of meals. It mostly rained while we were visiting, so we drove to nearby towns. All the little towns were so close and easy to get to! One of our favorite places was the Cotswold Falconry Centre! My son absolutely loved going there. As mentioned, ceilings are low for taller people and you'll need to watch your head in doorways and up/down the stairs. Absolutely charming and cozy cottage!

Stunning Cotswold Cottage........

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is set along a quiet lane in Stow on the Wold. As you approach the honey coloured stone cottage looks very inviting.... No disappointment there as you step into the 18th century and the very welcoming living room (Scottish for front reception room). In a matter of seconds we were ooing and ahing with a lot of wow's thrown in. You would have to use many plaudits to do the cottage justice. It's a fantastic home from home , well equipped and handily located for shops , pubs and restaurants etc etc. The layout is quirky but beautifully decorated and we found the ambience very welcoming (romantic even). We would thoroughly recommend this wonderful cottage to anyone considering the Cotswolds for a holiday or better still a romantic break. On a cold evening pour yourself a glass of your favourite tipple and fire up the log burner (so relaxing). One note of caution.......not suitable for anyone with mobility issues !! What an absolute treat and I cannot wait to return.

Lovely Character Cottage in small Cotswold Village

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful 2 up, 2 down Character cottage within easy walking distance of Stow. It's down the end of a lane so it's very quiet at night. The mobile broadband provided if o.k. for basic email and surfing but not for streaming, it didn't effect us. Would recommend if your looking for peace and quiet.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for pointing out the local wifi network. Most of our guests don't actually use our wifi as there is so much to do in Stow and the area surrounding it! However, we do try to point out on the website that the wifi is suitable for answering emails and web browsing but not streaming. When looking at the "facilities" tab please note the little dots (e.g. Internet..... or Heating..... etc). If you hover above the relevant word on the page then the additional information can be seen. Many thanks for pointing this out. We hope this information will be useful for all holidaymakers using the website looking at any accommodation anywhere as they may not necessarily be aware of this.

Excellent in every way

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a wonderful relaxing weekend in Woodbine Cottage. It's always a bit of a gamble booking something on-line but would like to reassure any potential guests that you won't be disappointed. The Cottage is very clean, in a quiet location but close to the town. As clearly noted on the site, the stairs are very steep which was no problem at all for us, but could be for toddlers or anyone with mobility difficulties. Will definitely return.

Wonderful, cosy and quirky cottage in great location

  • 3 of 5

A lovely stay in this brilliantly situated cottage up a quiet lane but within easy reach of the town and its shops, cafes and restaurants. Be prepared for the step stairs and the sloping bathroom floor.
