About the Owner

I live with my husband, 10 year old son and pet Beagle. Both my husband and I work in education in the community and our spare time is spent enjoying the wonderful county of Cornwall, walking the dog, surfing, paddle boarding and taking inspiration from the beautiful surroundings. I am a very house proud person, fond of evening BBQs with friends in the garden, pottering in my workshop or just hanging in the hammock with a glass of wine!

lovely property

The property was tidy and clean. We had a good time in Cornwall, apart from it took long time to get my deposit back due to lost contact with the owner. Hope the owner can keep in touch with the tenants any time in the future.

Owner's Response: Dear guest Thank you for the 4 starreview but we would to point out to future guests that this delay in returning the deposit was due to incorrect correspondence details from this reviewer. We did in fact return the deposit within 3 working days, unaware that the name given to us by the guest was not the correct name. Upon receipt of this cheque, the guest attempted to contact us but unfortunately our phones and ipad had been stolen on holiday. On arrival home and realising the original deposit was in the wrong name, a new cheque was sent with a full explanation and apology. We do feel the review above is slightly unfair and implies our tardiness in returning deposits, which was not, and not since been, the case.

Quiet, peaceful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Hazeldene the last week in August, The property was very clean and well set out, we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and a very large comfy bed. its a very peaceful location and an ideal base to explore Cornwall from. We have already re booked for August 2016, Paul, Karen, Megan and Rosy.

Home from home

  • 5 of 5

A real home from home! The house felt very comfortable and had everything you would need for a great stay. The dog loved investigating the outside space and loved the doggie flap. It's in a great, quiet location but close to all amenities. 3 pubs and a shop within a 5 minute walk. Beaches are a short drive away. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. We would visit for a 2nd time.

Location

From the Owner

We have always loved this area of North Cornwall, having holidayed here as children. It is quieter than some other Cornish towns but within easy access to the A30 to explore the county, shop and work. The coastline here is dramatic and beautiful - a photographer's delight!
