Two bedroom townhouse in Urbanizacion Tropicana, Nerja, Costa del Sol.

Casa Lynda is a light and airy townhouse built in the 1980s but with a typical Andalucian feel. It offers comfortable accommodation over two floors with all the facilities needed for a holiday or longer term rental, including satellite television and WiFi. The kitchen, bathroom and cloakroom have been newly refurbished and the property has new tiled floors throughout. Both bedrooms and the lounge have air conditioning. Outside, the south facing terrace and large first floor balcony overlook the private garden with views of the Almijara mountains, Nerja town and the sea. The garden is laid mainly to lawn with a variety of shrubs and orange and lemon trees. The Urbanizacion has a bar / restaurant, communal swimming pool with children's pool and communal gardens. The nearest beach is a ten minutes walk away and Nerja town centre is a further 15 to 20 minutes walk along the beach.

The property is registered with the Andalucia Tourist Authority: ref CTC-2016140641.

All holiday home owners now have to notify the Guardia Civil, the National Police Force in Spain, of all guests aged 16 staying in the property. Before travelling to Casa Lynda, guests will be asked to provide their full name, date and country of birth and passport number.

About the Owner

Phil and Lynda first visited Nerja on a family holiday in 1997. They fell in love with the town and have been enjoying holidays with their children and grandchildren at Tropicana since buying “Casa Lynda” in 2006. Now both retired they are able to spend time in their home-from-home two or three times a year. At home in Somerset Lynda is a leading light in the local WI and enjoys many different handicrafts, cookery and reading. She is currently learning flamenco dancing. Phil is a fair weather golfer, DIYer and self confessed “petrol head”. Despite many lessons and years of practice he is still struggling to play the Spanish guitar.

Well equipped house in quiet area

We enjoyed a lovely holiday at this property. It is clean, tidy and very well equipped for self catering. The information/directions provided were very helpful and easy to follow and the owners were more than happy to answer any questions we had. The property is set in a quiet area with a bar/restaurant only 2 minutes walk and a 10 minute walk to the beach and beach chiringuitos. The garden here even has its own lime tree - very handy for my G&T. We would be happy to stay here again.

Lovely apartment

Very enjoyable stay at this lovely apartment with very pleasant little garden. Access to pool very handy although pool size a little on the small side. Really helpful owner was most attentive and considerate throughout. Short walk to beach and manageable walk into town. Parking nearby and small shop a few minutes away. Apartment roomy and well equipped. Everything as described. Would love to go back.

Fabulous holiday home

From the moment you arrive you can see that Casa Lynda has been lovingly prepared and carefully equipped. The villa is sparkly clean and all the provided linen is fresh and fragrant. The bathrooms gleam and the porcelain is all immaculately white. Casa Lynda has been considerately prepared with a property book and yes even a cosy for the T pot. We highly recommend this little place if you are looking for a clean, tidy, plug and play holiday home that will make you smile the moment you open the door.

Comfortable house with nice garden

Casa Lynda was a very pleasant house to stay in. Clean, well-maintained, good bed. Lovely garden and nice views from the balcony. 5-10 min. walk to the beach and their are a few restaurants nearby. To the centre of Nerja it is a 25-30 min walk. Lots of restaurants and busy with tourists. After visiting the centre it was nice to come back in the quiet surroundings of Casa Lynda and most of the time the only sound was from the birds. We would certainly recommend this house.

Great property - ideal for families!

We stayed at Casa Lynda on the Tropicana Urbanizacion on the edge of Nerja for 11 nights in August. The property is built and decorated in a traditional Andalucian style and was immaculately clean with air conditioning plus a modern bathroom and kitchen. Very well equipped and had everything we needed for our family holiday. The Urbanizacion itself was also very well maintained with a nice pool area plus bar. The location was ideal for us as it was only a short drive in to Nerja but away from any noise so quite peaceful. The beaches are only a short walk away plus all the shops, restaurants, Nerja caves etc were easily accessible by car.

Phil was extremely helpful with all the booking process and gave very useful information prior to arrival. Brendan who was based in Nerja was also very prompt in helping when we needed some assistance.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend Casa Lynda. It was ideal for our family holiday and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect location, everything that you could ever need in a property. Very helpful & friendly owners.

The villa is just a short walk from the parking area so no effort to unload the car. Like wise the pool is a stones throw away. Nerja town outskirts is just 20mins walk along the N340 with another 10mins to the Balcon with all it's wonderful restaurants (highly recommend La Fuente). Very lovely beach (Torrox) just 10mins walk west of Marinas Hotel...sandy beach & a great beach bar & restaurant. Also, great restaurant (seafood & fish) just before Torrox with wonderful views over the sea. The villa itself has everything that you need & has an extremely pretty garden & is very comfortable inside (and out). All in all I cannot recommend this property enough.

Thanks Phil & Lynda (plus Maggie & Brendon) for a great holiday...we hope to get back there again soon.

Location

From the Owner

Nerja is situated at the easternmost end of the Costa del Sol, where the Almijara mountains meet the Alboran Sea. Although the town has grown in size over recent years it has kept much of its character, particularly the old part of town with narrow streets and traditional architecture. Tourism is important but Nerja is still a town where farming and fishing continue and are celebrated in the many Fiestas throughout the year. Apart from the obvious seaside attractions a trip to the fabulous Cuevas de Nerja is an absolute must for anyone visiting the town. The white villages of Frigiliana and Competa are a short drive away and are well worth a visit. The cities of Malaga, about 50 kms to the west, and Granada, about the same distance to the north east, offer lots of unique attractions.

Nerja is situated at the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, about 50 kilometres east of Malaga and about the same distance from Granada to the north east.

Urbanizacion Tropicana is a small 1980s development built on a hillside on the eastern outskirts of Nerja. Its white painted houses and well tended gardens have a feeling of the “real” Andalucia. ClubTropicana bar/restaurant and the communal pool are welcoming places to relax, socialise or just soak up the sun. A29 “Casa Lynda” is our home-from-home and has everything we need for a comfortable holiday. The house is well equipped, light and airy with traditional pine furniture and Spanish feature tiling in the hall. The private rear garden and terraces are south facing and are ideal for sunbathing or enjoying the view of the countryside towards Nerja, the Almijara mountains, and glimpses of the Mediterranean. The nearest beach is a ten minute amble away and Nerja town centre is less than 2 kilometres away.

  • Outside: The terrace is partly covered and has a large dining table and chairs, four sun loungers and BBQ. The private garden is mainly lawned and has numerous sub tropical shrubs with orange, lemon and nispero trees. The first floor balcony has a table and two chairs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house will be cleaned before and after your stay. Bed linen, bath/hand/kitchen towels are provided. Guests will need to provide beach/pool towels.
