Looking for rest and relaxation then look no further! We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to enjoy our ‘home from home’ in Peyia for your holiday.

The villa is set at the end of a residential cul de sac in one of the original parts of the village. The design and location of the villa means that it’s full of character and is generous in size compared to more recently built properties in the area; the villa is approx. 200 sq. metres and is set on a large plot of 1000 sq. metres. This means that even when travelling as a family or group there is plenty of space for everyone.

Given its location at the end of a cul de sac and three generous sized patios with high hedges, the villa offers complete privacy. We’ve spent a number of months making the villa as we want it to be. As seasoned villa renters we wanted to ensure that we and our guests have what they need whilst staying at the villa. With good quality sofas, great beds (all orthopaedic mattresses), quality furniture and linens, and internet TV (with access to some UK channels) and of course wifi internet provision the villa has everything you need for a family holiday. A safe is also available for use by guests. All rooms benefit from air conditioning and ceiling fans and the villa also has central heating should you be thinking about visiting outside of the warmer months.

The covered verandah provides a peaceful place to relax in or engage in a competitive game of pool! The gardens are well tended and provide a colourful backdrop to enjoy the considerable outside space, our lovely old lemon tree taking centre stage on the main patio area. The larger than average 10m x 4m pool is cleaned to EU standards and is sparkling and ready for you to use.

Of course one of the best things about our villa is its close proximity to the village centre of Peyia. Peyia is a small but charming village just 35 minutes drive from the airport. A leisurely 10-12 minute walk from the villa will take you to the large church at the centre of the village, Philippos’ supermarket, a bank and a small number of bars and restaurant’s specialising in local dishes and meze.

If you are in the mood for something more lively a short 5 minute car journey (or taxi at approx €10 each way) takes you to the resort of Coral Bay with a wider range of bars and restaurants. It also boasts 2 fantastic beaches blue flag beaches.

Paphos is a 20 minute drive away for even more choice of entertainment, extensive shopping in Kings Mall or in the Old Town or simply to experience the history of the location. For those guests who like to be active on holiday, golfing, diving and a variety of water sports are available locally.

About Karen Oldroyd

Our family lives in a small village in Yorkshire. We have two teenage children plus our other two members of the family, our pet Labrador and Pug!

Despite holidaying in a lot of different places over the years, we fell in love with the relaxed life that Cyprus offers approximately 11 years ago.

We spend as much time as we can at the house with both our immediate and extended families who love it as much as we do.

Why Karen Oldroyd chose Peyia

Our aim is to spend half of the year in Cyprus once our children leave the 'nest' and therefore when looking for a house to buy, we were definitely not looking for a short term holiday home or business opportunity but somewhere we could enjoy as we get older.

We purchased the villa in July 2014 after waiting for five years to find the right village and the right property. Since purchasing the villa we have spent time getting it how we want it to be so that it feels like a relaxed 'home from home'. We hope that on visiting you feel that way too.

We are only a 10-12 minute stroll from the village centre and 5 minutes away by car from Coral Bay with it's bar's, restaurants and blue flag beaches.

What makes this villa unique

We love the villa as it provides us with the space we need for holidays with our growing children or the extended family. Due to the layout of the villa and the outside space we can happily co-exist for weeks at a time! We also love the walk into the village. During the summer months, our neighbours tend to spend the evenings on their terraces and balconies so the walk to the village is full of hello's!

We stayed at Villa Isobel for two weeks during July/August. The villa was very well equipped which allowed us to decide on a daily basis as to whether we stayed in to eat/relax or visit the local restaurants/bars. Having two teenage children, the large pool and pool room were greatly appreciated. We did however lose a number of balls playing over-enthusiastic tennis and polo in the pool during the two weeks.

We mainly spent our time outdoors under the large patio awning or in the pool however it was good to escape to the large lounge and dining area.

Peyia is well placed to visit the lovely beaches in Coral Bay or take the car out to discover more of the island. There was a freak heatwave whilst we were there (!) so unfortunately our sight seeing was limited somewhat due to the heat.

We will definitely stay at the house again (if the owners allow us to) as we had a fabulous family holiday

Notes on accommodation: Fly screens and storm shutters fitted to all bedroom windows. Fly screens on most windows and patio doors. Air con is available throughout the villa with all rooms also benefiting from ceiling fans. Air conditioning and internet is included in the rental price. The villa is fitted with central heating. This can be provided at an additional cost. Outside: Generous patios to three sides with a wonderful old lemon tree being a focal point. A 6ftx6ft patio shade covers a round rattan table with 6 chairs providing an excellent escape from the sun or a lovely place to eat. A 10x4 metre private pool with Roman steps maintained to EU standards and cleaned twice a week by our local management team. Traditional BBQ. Utility Room: Large separate utility room houses a washing machine and dishwasher. The steam iron, ironing board and airer are also stored here. A cooler box is also available for trips to the beach or the mountains! Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Welcome pack on arrival. Towels and bedding included. Villa will be cleaned before arrival. Pool is cleaned and maintained twice a week. Local management team available. Other: Oak dining table with 6 leather covered chairs. Villa Isobel, Peyia, Cyprus

Villa Isobel is in a quiet location, with nice views. It is a large, air-conditioned property with plenty of space both inside and outside, two shower rooms and a large sun terrace and swimming pool. All areas were clean, and well maintained. The pool technician visited regularly to clean and check the pool, and the linen and towels were changed regularly. The kitchen area was ample for our needs having a large fridge/freezer, cooker and microwave ; however we took many of our main meals in any of the several, nearby restaurants and tavernas .We also made use of the local take away restaurants, Indian, Chinese and good old fish and chips, which were lovely! The village itself is lively and has a decent array of shops and services, but it is a good walk from the villa, up quite a steep hill. A hire car is a really good idea, and will give easy access to the many things to do and see within the area. Taxis are plentiful , and reasonably priced too, especially if you can stick with the same driver. Coral Bay and is only a few minutes by car from the villa. The property receives streamed UK TV channels and has Wi-Fi too.A very useful information pack is provided at the villa, and explains the use of these items, also providing information about the local bars etc. The property management company were really good, and are happy to help with any aspect of your stay. Overall, we had a really nice, relaxing holiday at Villa Isobel. It makes a great base for a family holiday.

Great Villa in Cyprus!

I was lucky enough to stay at Villa Isobel for a week at the beginning of April with some of my family. My first thought on the Villa was WOW! It is a great size with a large open plan lounge and kitchen and three good sized bedrooms. The weather was a little mixed during our visit but being able to sit inside the verandah and read or have a game of pool was great. When we were outside, the terraces and pool are large and there was plenty of space for all of us. The location was excellent. Just a short 10 minute walk and you are in the centre of Peyia. We went to the small supermarket in Peyia for the large water cooler which cost 2.50 Euros and lasted all week. I can recommend The Grande restaurant as the food and atmosphere were brilliant. The Jail Bar was a great place to just go for a few beers. But for a wider selection of restaurants and larger supermarkets we just drove down the road to Coral Bay. You are a 15 minute drive to Paphos Town. We visited the Kings Avenue Mall which had a good selection of shops and restaurants (it even has a Marks and Spencers!) We stopped at the TGI Fridays in the mall for lunch and the food was superb. You can sit on the balcony and have a great time getting some sun and eating your lunch. We have already talked to the owner about staying again next year for 2 weeks this time. As all of my family had a fun relaxing holiday and did not want it to end. I can highly recommend Villa Isobel to anyone looking to visit Cyprus.

The blue flag beaches of Coral Bay are a 5 minute drive from the villa. A variety of water sports are available at the beach. The start of the Akamas Peninsula is approximate ten minute drive away where you can walk and enjoy the rugged coastline. Covering an approximate area of 230 km, the peninsula is ideal for hiking or just having a relaxing stroll and enjoying the wildlife.


Paphos International Airport is approx 25 min taxi transfer journey (approx. 40-50 euro each way). If you would prefer, we can arrange for a local taxi to pick you up from the airport.

Larnaca is approx 2 hours away. Car hire is highly recommended especially if you want to see the island and its beauty.

Further Details:

The villa is ideally located for self catering holidays. The village offers two supermarkets (one open until 9pm), a butcher, doctors surgery, dentist and bank (with cash machine). There are also a small number of friendly bars and restaurants. The Peyia Tavern is well worth a visit to experience a traditional Cypriot meze (just remember to pop in and reserve a table during the summer months as it's small and popular). Further afield, Coral Bay offers a number of bars and restaurants ranging from traditional to Italian, Mexican and teppanyaki.
