7 Gloucester Square is a charming, three bedroom mews house with integral garage in a very quiet yet central Edinburgh location. Gloucester Square has no through traffic and is located off Gloucester Lane in the heart of Edinburgh's Georgian New Town. Beautifully presented and furnished, Gloucester Square has two floors. On the ground floor there is an excellent large, newly fitted kitchen/dining room, and a double bedroom which has an ensuite shower room. There is also a separate family bathroom with bath & shower. Upstairs is a spacious, airy living room with cosy new gas stove, lovely comfy sofas and a study area with a desk. Upstairs there is also a twin and a single bedroom. The house benefits from a large single garage for your use and WiFi broadband. The house is only a 5 minute walk from Princes Street and the bustling 'village' of Stockbridge. Popular Stockbridge is full of fabulous bars, restaurants,and food shops as well as antique stores and cafes. The picturesque Dean Valley is a hidden gem with a tranquil walk along the Water of Leith. You won't believe you are in the heart of the city.

I have owned this house in Edinburgh since around 2009 but was brought up in the city and and lived and worked there for many years, on and off. I have another holiday let in the spectacular Ullswater Valley of the English Lake District and maintain a very high standard of holiday let.

Why Rebecca Russell chose New Town

We bought this house because it's in an amazingly central, yet peaceful location on a square with no through traffic. There are no neighbours above or below and we have the benefit of an integral single garage.

Outside: 7 Gloucester Square does not have a garden but we have neighbours who are good gardeners and whose gardens we admire! Edinburgh is very well served for public parks and there are several a short walk from the house. Princes' Street Gardens have a great play park at the west end a 5-10 minute walk away. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and Inverleith Park are a 20 minute walk from the house. The Dean runs through Stockbridge and there are lovely walks along the river edge - the walk to the Gallery of Modern Art is a particular favourite for our family. Utility Room: There is a washer and drier in the house. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedlinen and towels are included in the rental. If your stay is longer than a week we can arrange cleaning and a linen change during your stay.

Very nice place in a quiet part of Edinburgh

The place was very nice, and well suited for a family. It is walking distance to quite a few sites, and if you want to go further there is a bus line just at the bottom of the hill, on Kerr Street.

Perfect location for seeing Edinburgh

Our family of five loved this mews flat. The location was perfect for seeing all the major sights as well as experiencing the lovely village atmosphere in Stockbridge. We hired a car half way through our week-long stay and it was very handy having the garage as other parking in Edinburgh is a nightmare. It was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfy. We couldn't figure out how to work the stove top (as it is very different to the one we have at home and I think we were a bit jet-lagged) but within an hour there was someone at the door to show us how to operate it. (We didn't flick the switch on the wall. Duh.) A very helpful owner and an extremely organized and beautiful place to stay. Loads of character!

Great place to stay

We were a family of five wanting to be central to Edinburgh and have a car space. This house delivered both along with great nearby resturants, easy access to the city and comfortable living. Loved it!!

très sympathique demeure calme et bien situé

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cet maison spacieuse et bien équipée. Elle est situé dans un cartier très calme mais c'est pas loin pour aller dans les parties plus animées, même à pied.

Le garage nous était bien utile pour garer une voiture loué quelques jours pour voyager dans les alentours.

Edinburgh Airport is approximately 10 miles away - bus and tram

Waverley station and Haymarket Station are approximately a 10-15 minute walk away

Distances:

7 Gloucester Square is is Edinburgh's City Centre, in the heart of the beautiful Georgian new town. Edinburgh is a great city to walk around but if you prefer the bus services are excellent as is the new tram system.

Further Details:

Central Edinburgh has all the shopping and restaurants your heart desires and is a short walk away. However 7 Gloucester Square is also very well situated for the 'village' of Stockbrige, a bustling and vibrant area with lots of quirky shops, quality food stores and great places to eat and drink.
