Villa in Peyia, Coral Bay, Paphos, South Cyprus - in a Cul De-Sac location, yet close to shops, restaurants, bars and stunning beaches

Villa Mariposa is a lovely detached 3 bedroom (2 double and 1 twin) villa with private parking located in the popular Peyia area, close to all amenities including the stunning Coral Bay with it's many bars,restaurants and shops. Paphos is a 10 to 15 minute drive away with its bustling shops, pubs, bars, restaurants and clubs and really has something for everyone!

The entrance hall to the property brings you to a large open plan living/dining area with separate kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen has an extra door to the front of the villa with a small garden and delightful mature fruit trees. The entrance hall also features a useful guest cloakroom/w.c. From the living room there are shuttered patio doors giving easy access to the pool area surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens. There is a covered veranda stretching right across the rear of the villa with a dining table and chairs for 6 people and rattan furniture. Stairs take you to the first floor with 3 double bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and there is another double bedroom and a twin sharing a large family bathroom. The master bedroom and one of the other bedrooms also have access to a large stunning well furnished balcony which also stretches across the whole of rear of the villa with fantastic sea and mountain views.

In the living room there is a brand new state of the art 48 inch, curved screen Samsung smart TV giving both HD and 3D viewing (without glasses). There is broadband Internet access providing hundreds (literally) of TV channels, including all UK terrestrial and all Sky and Sky sports channels. In addition there is a unique movie channel showing movies newly released and showing in UK cinemas, kids TV and live UK and European sports channels including any game being broadcast live by Sky.

Other users can use their play stations, tablets and iPads simultaneously throughout the entire property and We are pleased to be able to say that this is FREE OF CHARGE and included in the rental price. There is a fair usage policy in terms of electricity and this depends on the time of year and length of stay. As an indication the price per week will include 25 euros of power with anything over and above that incurring a charge, your meter will be read after seven days (for two week bookings) so that you can gauge your electricity use. Unless you run the a/c 24/7 it is ulikely you will exceed this.

Finally for your security we have installed a state of the art GSM alarm system to protect your valuables whilst you are away from the Villa during the day or at night. In addition there is a wall mounted safe.

We bought it mainly as a second home for use by family and friends rather than as a business having said that we have done everything possible to make it a memorable

Fantastic

This villa is fantastic and is even better than described. It has everything you could need and more.

We started booking villa's on holiday some years ago and having rented quite a few now we know what to look for. We want something that is within reasonable distance to shops, restaurants and close to the beach within being compelled to hire a car. We look for something that is spacious, clean, reasonably private and just as important something that is comfortable. This villa lived up to all those expectations and actually exceeded most of them. I can honestly say it is one of the best villa’s we have rented to date. What made it even more exceptional was the WIFI and television. The selection on the television is a lot more than detailed in the advertisement. It has sky but much much more also. Fantastic if you want to have a relaxing evening, barbecue at the pool followed by a couple of drinks and a good movie. Or if you’re a sporting fanatic watch one of the big football games, live, without having to go out to an overcrowded bar.

This villa is a must for anyone. Myself and my husband went on our own this year but I fully intend to go back next year with some of the family. It would comfortably hold 6 people. The village where it is located is really quaint and so friendly you really don’t need to go far afield at all but that’s also an option if you want to using the regular reliable bus service. The villa’s security is also excellent.

The owners are excellent once you contact them ensuring you have all the information you need. They are so helpful.

You would have no regrets whatsoever if you booked this, I certainly intend to go back. Thank you again for allowing me to rent your beautiful home in Cyprus I have been raving about it to all my friends and family.

Wonderful location, Gorgeous villa.

Beautiful surroundings and a very quiet, peaceful location. The villa is very well presented, perfectly clean, freshly decorated (Everything looks brand new!) and is extremely well equipped.The bedrooms are an excellent size, the master with a charming en suite. The garden is also very well maintained with a super pool and BBQ area.

There are local shops and very good restaurants, pubs and tavernas all within a few minutes drive.

The owners, Grahame and Helen couldn't have been more friendly or helpful during the booking process and made the whole experience easy and hassle free.

We had a fabulous week and would definitely visit this property again and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

This villa didn't disappoint in anyway.Great location,coralbay just down the road with lovely restaurants and bars.peyia village has all the usual local shops you'll need.The nearest bar is ten minute walk away.Robin the pool man was great with his local knowledge.What a great week can't wait to go back next year.

outstanding villa

wow what an amazing villa, absolutely beautiful. Had the feeling of a home more than a rental villa. High quality furnishings with that little extra touch. Grahame and Helen were fantastic to deal with, nothing was any trouble for them, they even left a gift in the villa for us as it was our 25th wedding anniversary. Spotlessly clean. Pool was fantastic and big enough for six adults to have fun in. Even the pool guy, Robin, was fantastic and full of knowledge and very friendly. Beautiful location with hill and sea views. Highly recommend this superb villa.

Superb villa Mariposa

Had a fantastic stay at villa Mariposa. Perfect villa, everything was provided for. Lovely modern kitchen with all amenities. Large rooms with marbled floors and beautiful furnishings. Aircon throughout was a must. Wifi was excellent (much appreciated by teenage daughters). Large pool with beautiful gardens and orange trees and views of sea. 2 shaded areas on terrace are lovely for breakfast, lunch or drinks/barbecue. Balcony from 2 of the bedrooms facing the sea is lovely. Pegia is a very pretty village with lovely restaurants such as The Brewery and The Grande. Thoroughly recommend this villa and would love to stay there again.

Location

From the Owner

We both love Cyprus and have been many times. Grahame was based there twice with HM Forces and we both know the area well. Most people speak English and are very friendly, having looked extensively around really Paphos seemed the obvious choice.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Coral Bay, a 5 minute drive away, has arguably the nicest beach and clearest waters in the whole of Cyprus. The beach is shaped like a horse shoe and is a paradise of soft white sand, sheltered by headlands which calm turquoise glassy waters. The summer heat is frequently tempered by a gentle onshore breeze and the sea has a shallow margin where children may safely play.

Travel:

Paphos airport is a 30 minute drive away. Car hire is recommended, but not essential as the villa is on an excellent bus route to both Coral Bay and Paphos. The nearest bus stop is a five minute walk, the buses are regular reliable and clean.

Distances:

Within a short drive there a significant number of beautiful traditional villages to visit. The tourist activities are too numerous to mention, but we will be more than happy to give you guidance if required. In Paphos town there are mosaics dating back 2000 years as well as Paphos castle and the fascinating Tomb of the Kings.

Further Details:

As well as places of historic interest, stunning beaches, a wonderful harbour area with seafront with shops, bars and restaurants Paphos now boasts a modern, large shopping mall with many famous international outlets as well as designer brands. There is a large Marks and Spencer, Carefour and a large multiplex cinema showing English films.

For everyday shopping there is a new Papantoniou Bakery two minutes drive away. Opening at 6am and closing at 11pm it provides a huge choice of freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries as well as day to day items such as fresh milk, eggs, cold meats, cheeses etc. There is a large supermarket 3 miles away and Lidl about a 10 minute drive.

You will find ease of access to local shops, bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Coral Bay is a five minute drive away. Paphos itself with its new mall with international designer outlets and a multiplex cinema is about 15 minutes by taxi or you can use the excellent bus service which runs regularly and the bus stop is 2 minutes from the Villa. Having said that the Villa quiet enough should you just wish to chill round the pool or have a BBQ.

  • Outside: Beautifully maintained garden areas both front and rear, feel free to pIck an orange or two for breakfast or squeeze and make your own pure orange juice from any of the orange trees in the gardens. The Villa has pretty gardens, private pool, 6 sun loungers, built in BBQ and outdoor shower. The pool is approximately 12 metres x 5 metres. The gardens are maintained twice weekly and the pool is cleaned, skimmers emptied, pool filled and correct chemical levels maintained to ensure crystal clear water twice a week. Utility Room: Large understair utility room storing cleaning equipment, ironing board, mop, buckets, brushes and other cleaning materials. Large enough for to store suitcases for six guests. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linens are provided including beach towels.
