STRATHCLARE HOUSE is conveniently situated in the centre of this picturesque old highland village, at the gateway to the Cairngorm National Park. Surrounded by magnificent scenery, KIRKMICHAEL is at the geographical centre of Scotland making it the ideal touring base with much of the country, within a day's trip. A beautiful house in an idyllic countryside setting in the village of Kirkmichael, with welcoming luxury furnishings and a cosy ambiance, this luxury holiday home offers relaxation in abundance. A perfect place to sleep up to 8 people for a family self-catering getaway or as a break with friends, you'll leave refreshed and rejuvenated after a stay at Strathclare House. A very special setting for a very special holiday home, with lots to do in the local area come rain or shine. Key features are the open plan living to cater for 8 people with 4 bedrooms, ensuites for the 3 double bedrooms plus a shared bathroom for the twin bedroom. The lounge has 50'' TV with satellite TV and surround sound system / Blu Ray player whilst each bedroom has is equipped with TV and freesat. Wi-fi is available for the house. Outside, the house opens up to a large secluded garden with the River Ardle at the bottom of the garden. We are also dog friendly and accept up to 2 well behaved dogs. Hi there.

My name is Kenny and I live and work in Scotland with my wife, Kim.

Kim and I have a holiday home in Kirkmichael, Perthshire, Scotland which has recently been renovated and is new on the market as a luxury holiday home.

We have spent many holidays in Perthshire for many years and fell in love with the area. This made us purchase our property and the intention is that we will eventually retire to this house in several years time.

We are sure that you will the area as much as we love the area.

Why Kenny Crawford chose Perthshire

My wife Kim and I have spent many holidays in Perthshire and decided we wanted to buy a house with the aim of allowing others to enjoy the area before we eventually retire to Kirkmichael.

What makes this house unique

This luxury detached holiday home is located down a quiet lane off of the main street. The spacious, delightful, secluded garden sits in an acre of grassland and is ideal for alfresco dining, and the house is within easy walking distance of the village pub, restaurant and well-stocked community shop.

The house sleeps 8 people and has 3 double bedrooms with ensuites plus a twin bedroom with shared bathroom. It is perfect for a group of friends or families to enjoy the open plan lounge / dining and kitchen (12*5 metres).

Strathclare House is the perfect destination for exploring, or taking part in outdoor activities such as fishing, walking, cycling, skiing and hiking. A little further north takes you to Glenshee ski slopes or you can simply relax in the peace of village life.

Strathclare House is a modern beautiful house set in a gorgeous part of Scotland. The owners were there to greet us and showed the seven of us around the house. It contained everything we needed for a Christmas holiday. The woodburner was an excellent addition, the kitchen was well equipped and each of the rooms, including bathroom/shower rooms were beautifully made up. What we all liked particularly was the open plan from the living area to the dinning table to the kitchen, where everyone felt involved. The house is situated in the village of Kirkmichael with a village shop and a hotel/pub within a 2 minute walk. Everyone we met was friendly and provided lots of information about the area. The log cabin hotel was a good twenty minutes walk in the countryside with stunning views, including seeing deer and other wildlife and is an excellent place to stop and have a wee dram or something to eat. The Ski resort of Glenshee was only a thirty minute drive, which was great but unfortunately there was very little snow for skiing during our time. There is a river at the bottom of the garden which at this time of year was very fast flowing, so if you have pets be careful. It is great getaway for family and friends and the house owners were very welcoming. I would recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a Scottish hideaway. Thank You Strathclare house for making a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.

Amazing house in beautiful countryside

This was a perfect holiday home for 3 generations of our family. The bedrooms were so comfortable and we all loved the open plan area downstairs for socialising. Every little detail had been put in place to make our time there memorable from the generous welcome pack to the towelling robes in the bedrooms. I wish the weather could have been better to have made more use of the lovely garden but the youngest members of the family were thrilled with the river at the end of the garden and the rabbits playing on the grass.

The Strathardle Inn was friendly and a great place for an evening meal.

A Fantastic House for a Family Holiday.

We had a great family holiday for a week at the beginning of June and were absolutely delighted with the well equipped house. The weather was so kind to us that the paddling pool was out for several days for toddler and dog. The garden is enormous and enclosed so is safe for a well behaved dog and children. The welcome pack gave us a great start - many thanks Kim and Kenny!

The area is perfect for visits to Pitlochry theatre and restaurants as was Blairgowrie and Dunkeld/Birnham. There is also good food at the local hotel. The local shop is just a few minutes from the house where you'll receive a warm welcome from the locals. Everyone we met was so friendly.

I would love to come back and would recommend Strathclare House.

Absolutely Fantastic property within a beautiful l

Everything was perfect, We could not have asked for anything more. A large contemporary house with every luxury made for easy living for our family of five and my in-laws. The secluded garden is immense which was very much enjoyed by us, everything was just, well simply perfect. Even a river at the bottom which we had family fun fly fishing. Would highly recommend and return to such a beautiful part of Scotland. Honestly say one of our best holidays made possible by staying in such a terrific house. Dealing with such lovely owners who made us so welcome. Thank you. The de Rozario family

The property is very spacious, very clean, is extremely well equiped & is in a fantastic location

The owners Kenny & Kim met us at the house on arrival to make sure we had everything we needed.

An extremely generous welcome pack was provided, with something for everyone, even the dog which was a nice touch.

We do a lot of this type of holiday & we found that the standard & quality of the equipment provided for a self catering facility was well above average.

The garden is huge & the River Ardle at the bottom of the garden provided hours of fun for the dog.

The location is a great base for visiting places like, Blairgowrie, Dunkeld, Killin with the Falls of Dochart, Loch Tay, Aviemore, Kirriemuir, etc.

We will certainly be returning, hopefully sooner rather than later.

We would recommend this property if you like to holiday in a place with all the home comforts!

Strathclare House is amazing, and the photographs don't do it justice. It is the best equipped holiday house we have ever stayed in with every piece of equipment/utensil you can think of in the kitchen, and the dressing gowns in the bedrooms were a lovely touch! Everything in the house is of a high quality, and it was very clean and well maintained. The large TV with surround sound in the living area was great where we could all enjoy a DVD in the evening, or even choose a film off Netflix (also kindly provided by the owners.) The location is beautiful and peaceful, and the extremely large garden with field next door was a perfect play ground for our children and two dogs.

It is about 20 mins from Pitlochry or Blairgowrie. But there is a very nice Pub/Hotel (Starthardle Inn) with restaurant in the village where we had a lovely meal. There are lots of lovely walks to be found in and around the area including Pitlochry, especially any of the Tay Forest Park areas. Kenny and Kim were really helpful and friendly providing us with lots of useful information about places to eat, and nice walks in the area. Their wonderful 'Welcome pack' was a really unexpected and thoughtful touch. We would highly recommend Strathclare House, and hope to go back.
