About Tina Edgecombe

Tina and Gary live in a 450 year old farm house that we have extensively restored and refurbished over the past 18 years. Damson Cottage is one of our outbuildings that we converted into a luxury holiday home. We moved to Somerset with our young family in 1985 and absolutely love the area, Our boys have long flown the nest but we have no intention of leaving Ford Farm or Somerset.

Tina Edgecombe purchased this cottage in 2000

Why Tina Edgecombe chose Henton

We love Wells because of the fantastic facilities in the area. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with both Bath and Bristol within easy reach. The historic city of Wells boasts a great range of bars and restaurants as well as many places of interest. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible via the M4/M5 and the A303 and Bristol airport is only 20 minutes away.

What makes this cottage unique

The property is a tastefully converted stone barn situated in a lovely part of the world with all the mod cons that you would expect. If you are looking to ‘get away from it all’ and unwind in a really relaxing cosy environment then Damson Cottage is the place for you.

The cottage is a five minute drive from the cathedral city of Wells. Steeped in history ,you can spend hours wandering the ancient streets, there is plenty to see and do . The park and ride is a must. to enjoy a day in Bath, .We have rented this cottage for the third year and highly recommend it.

We needed a self catering hideaway for a week to allow some exploration of the Mendips and Wells - also we wanted to visit two National Trust properties at Barrington and Tyntesfield. Ford Farm Cottage provided an excellent base to do these visits and also a relaxing and very well appointed comfortable spot to relax.

“Idyllic cottage - fabulous owners!”

We have stayed at Form Farm Cottage twice - both tomes for two weeks at a time. Gary and Tina were so friendly and genuinely wanted our stay to be perfect, which it was until Andy was ill. Gary and Tina looks after us both so well and their cottage was so idyllic that we returned the following year.

“Lovely Cottage!”

Stayed 3 days at the cottage at Ford Farm. It is a lovely place, decorated and equipped to a very high standard. Tina the owner is friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of information about places to go and to eat. The location is ideal for exploring the area and we visited Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar, Salisbury and Wedmore.

We had a very relaxing week at this well equipped property. Tina and Gary were friendly and welcoming. The cottage is furnished to a high standard with the addition of an attractive patio area at the front with colourful flowers. We had a good meal at The Pheasant Inn ( just down the road) and there are numerous places to eat in Wells.Trips to the Bishops Palace in Wells and Tyntesfield were highlights and we would recommend this cottage to any couple looking for a relaxing break.
