House in Castelnau-Montratier, Lot, Midi-Pyrenees, France - Just next to the centre. Large rooms. High ceilings. Oak beams. Terrace with furniture and barbecue.

Ground floor: Kitchen, living room with fireplace as decoration, terrace, guest toilet. 1st fl: 2 bedrooms + bathroom. 2nd fl: Extra bedroom. Self catering, electric heating, air condition, pets are not accepted, non smoking house. A dream of a house in genuine French style. Nice peaceful village with all you need.

About Kristen Sandahl

I have been the Danish owner of this house since 1996. It represents my dream of a French property. My wife and I spend a lot of time there and have been keen on

bringing the house back to the original form combined with gentle modernising. We love the area with the multiple choices of landscapes, picturesque villages and wonderful restaurants.

You will find my book - translated from Danish to English: "Places to eat in and around Cahors" in the house and in some restaurants/bookshops.

I am convinced that you will enjoy a stay in my house and the surroundings.

French at it's very best

We stayed in this wonderful house a sunny week in July 2015, and we dream of going back! Our big family had plenty of space, a bedroom for the teenager, one for the parents and the upstairs playroom/sleepingroom, where our two tweens stayed. The house is newly restorated, the terrace is lovely, and Castelnau-Montratier is a very charming village, that had everything we needed, and it goes without saying that we recommend this lovely house to everybody who loves France and who has no need of a million other tourists in the neighbourhood.

French old-world (à la Cotswolds+ sun and wine)

A dream of French delights - our second stay, first in June 2014 and again in September 2015.

The house is a beautiful ancient town- house high above the valley and perfectly set in a cosy, quiet street peeping onto the church. Immaculately restored, every mod con - could have a perfect holiday just in the house itself. The village is friendly and charming, good eating places where you're a remembered guest after the first meal. The surroundings are terrific - rolling countryside, lovely villages, good walks, everything within reach. Easy access to bigger towns, museums, markets, prehistoric grottos - you name it. We'd like to keep the place a secret - but it's a family house to be enjoyed by others. The owner seems to like guests, too! Nice. There's also the owner's recently published good-eating guide to local restaurants waiting in the house for you...

Booking Notes:
A contract is made. 200 Euros on account and a deposit of 100 Euros to be paid on signing the contract. The balance to be paid no later than 4 weeks before the start of the let. The key to the house will be sent to you hereafter.
If you wish to pay for the final cleaning, note this on your reservation. The sum (54 Euros) to be paid on departure to the female caretaker.
Electricity will be deducted from the deposit. The balance will be refunded to your account.

Changeover: Saturday
Arrival: 16 pm
Departure: 10 am
The house key is to be returned by post to my Danish address with your statement of how much electricity you have used.
