About the Owner

We lived in Bath up until 2004 and miss it! Church Road gave us the opportunity to get back there but at the moment we cannot do that full time so we are very happy to share our home with you when we are away. As we know and love the city, please don't hesitate to contact us for advice.

Charming English cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Two couples stayed for several days in this lovely, well maintained cottage. Everything about it was perfect including the well equipped kitchen, relaxing living room and comfortable beds. It was great having a car port where we could leave our car and walk into Bath. The local pub at the bottom of the hill, recommended by Helen, was delicious. The cottage is perfectly situated to take day trips to the Cotswolds and other local sites. Everything was perfect and we would highly recommend this wonderful cottage for anyone traveling to this area.

I want to live here!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was everything it described and more. So beautifully decorated and thought out. The flowers were in full bloom around the front door and we enjoyed sitting out under the umbrella in the garden as soon as we arrived. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. I'm English but live in California - staying here made me want to move home!

A. wonderful base for walkers on the Cotswold Way

  • 5 of 5

We found the location and layout of this well equipped cottage to be perfect. We were four adults walking the final stage of the Cotswold Way and it proved to be the perfect base with the cottage providing everything we needed. Despite being so close to the centre of Bath the pretty and secluded garden felt like the middle of the countryside.

The elephant gave us plenty of entertainment.

A real wiinner

Everything as advertised and more!

  • 5 of 5

This was a fantastic stay for us. The cottage is everything that you would want and more. We especially liked the view out of the main bedroom window out over the English countryside.

Helen was a fantastic host and made sure that the cottage was set up and perfectly clean in advance of our arriving. It didn't hurt that we had a spate a fantastic weather that allowed us to walk the 2 miles or so into town. If the weather is nice when you're here we highly recommend it. Its an easy downhill stroll that takes you straight through gorgeous Victoria Park and right along side the Royal Crescent. The pub right down the road from the cottage (The Old Crown) has recently been done over and had great food.

The living area is set up wonderfully to flop down after a long day of walking around (you absolutely must take the boat trip up to Bathampton and walk the towpath back to Bath!) and enjoy a pint.

As other reviewers have noted, the easiest way to get up to the front door is to take a right into the car park right before the cottage and walk up the pathway at the very end.

We would HIGHLY recommend this to any other travelers!

Outstanding and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in October 2015 using this special cottage as our base for World Cup games in Cardiff. We have stayed in some magical places around the globe, but this takes some beating. There is great detail in the internal redesign of the cottage, whilst keeping its instrinsic authenticity. Will stay many times again hopefully and will always recommend it. The owner is very helpful and responsive. 5 Stars All Day Long.

Wonderful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. The cottage was cosy with all the home comforts we needed. The beds are of a very high quality and it was like staying in my own bed and we all slept well. Are visit to Bath was to see family and my Sister and family came to us, they all thought what a lovely job Helen has made of the modernisation, making great use of space. The cottage has wonderful views and is within easy reach of the centre of Bath and only half an hour from Bristol. A really great base to stay. Thank you Helen for sharing your home with us.
