About Angela Williams

Sorry we don't have a photo! We bought the property after a move 'south' from Knoydart. We live here with our 2 children, our springer spaniel Corrie and 2 cats. We have owned a self catering property for many years but enjoy being on hand to look after it. We know that renting a place next door to the owners can be a concern - but rest assured, we are there if you need us but the chances are you won't see us again after we have met you! Angela is a development manager with the Knoydart Foundation, a community land owner. Mark is a marine biologist and also runs his own RYA school - so if you fancy a power boat course, get in touch!

Angela Williams purchased this house in 2014

Why Angela Williams chose Highland

We want you to have a great holiday and have enjoyed making the Tower as homely as possible and somewhere we would enjoy going on holiday. We love the upside down nature of the property - bedroom and bathroom down stairs with a spiral staircase leading you up into the living room. From here you can step out onto the balcony to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining, overlooking the local woodlands and Loch Sunart beyond.

What makes this house unique

We love going on self catering holidays- but also know the risk of renting a property and being disappointed. We have tried to furnish the property so all you need to bring is your food ( and maybe a bottle of wine!). Everything else is provided, from dishwasher tablets to hot water bottles! We can even supply dog bowls and dog towels. We want you to have a relaxing holiday so just ask if you want to check on any detail. We look forward to meeting you.

Guestbook comments from the owner

'Well equipped and comfortable'upside-down house with a fabulous balcony view - a great base to explore this endlessly fascinating landscape' Nick and Heather.

'We have spent a wonderful week in the Tower - we enjoyed the nice balcony breakfasts and dinners. Angela and Mark are great hosts. Thank you.' Sabine and Walther.

Beautiful location, well equipped and clean.

  • 5 of 5

I have now stayed in this property twice (the first time being at the end of 2016, when I stayed for a month). The village of Salen itself is small but there are 2 nearby shops (Jetty shop in Salen and the shop in Acharachle) for buying necessities and also a local hotel with restaurant + bar. The house is beautifully decorated and maintained and has good access to tv (good for rainy days) with plenty DVDs, music system, wifi etc. There are plenty places nearby for outdoor activities like hiking and hill-running with lovely scenery. I have praised the place and the property to everyone who will listen. Thanks.

Home from Home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 5 days in September with our dog. What a beautiful home. Every comfort catered for and the house is very cosy and comfortable. There is even a balcony to sit out on for when the weather is nice!! Owners Mark & Angela were very welcoming and gave tips on where to visit/things to do etc. Although there were right next door they never bothered you at all and were there if needed. We especially liked the home made cake left for us and the whisky!! What a lovely thought. This is a lovely house, well kept and looked after and located in amazing scenery - what a great stay we had. We definately will be back! - Sharon & Colin Clark

Great use of space in a perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Tower-really great use of space. Lovely bedroom with stacks of storage. Great view from living room and really well equipped kitchen.

Perfect location to explore Ardnamurchan, Sunart and Moidart.

Small provisions shop, German bakery and Sunart yarns all walkable as well as walks around Salen woods.

Angela was really easy to communicate with before our arrival.
