Lovely Chalet/bungalow with 2 bedrooms, one has double bed the other has bunk beds, bathroom with bath/shower, open plan lounge/kitchen. Well equipped for self catering. Patio and parking space. Cliff top site with 'The Needles' to the left hand side and 'Hurst Castle' to the right. Close to coastal path for walkers and close to sand and shingle 'safe bathing' beach. Grass area to front for children to play.

I am married and have children and grandchildren. My family and ourselves love visiting our bungalow on the Isle of Wight and would very much like to invite you to come and experience the pleasure we get from it. Our children have grown up coming here and now our grandchildren are doing the same.

Why Pamela Stafford chose Isle of Wight

I have been having my annual holidays on the Isle of Wight for many years and love the West Wight as it is the quieter side of the Island. After visiting the Islands many attractions it is nice to come back to the peace and quiet of Brambles Chine.

What makes this bungalow unique

I enjoy the freedom of self catering. Getting up when I like, eating when I like and going to bed when I like. Everything I need is in the bungalow for a comfortable, relaxing holiday.

Notes on accommodation: Comfortable, nicely decorated, well equipped self catering seaside bungalow. New carpets throughout in 2015.. 2 bedrooms with double bed and bunk beds. All bed linen provided. Fully tiled bathroom with bath/shower over. Comfortable lounge sofa and chairs to relax in the evening. Pay as you go WI Fi is available. Outside: There is a patio with flower beds around. Patio table, chairs and sun beds are provided. A parking space for 1 car is to the rear. A grassed area is to the front. An outside rotary clothes airer is available to dry your beach wear and towels. A laundrette is on site not far from the bungalow. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen is provided but NOT personal towels. The property is cleaned and serviced on change over days.

Owner's Response: I endeavour to keep a high standard of cleanliness as I myself would expect this of a holiday accommodation. The bungalow is well equipped for self catering. This area is well known for it's lovely sunsets, which you can enjoy from the patio.

Very cosy holiday home for me and my two daughters.

Our bungalow was a very comfortable base for us for the week we stayed. The location is great. We spent five full days on the beach which was no more than a few minutes walk. The outlook and view from the bungalow was beautiful and it gets the evening sun so ideal for summer evening BBQ's.

The site itself was quiet especially considering we stayed during the summer bank holiday week. There's a large play area for the children which mine enjoyed for hours.

We would definitely return again.

Owner's Response: West Wight is the quiet part of the Island with lovely walks. We have lovely sunsets easily viewed from the bungalow patio. Plenty of open space for children to play.

Owner's Response: I get lovely comments from guests on the décor and cleanliness of the bungalow and on the lovely sunsets that can be enjoyed from the patio. The Wifi is a facility offered by a company for all the holiday bungalows in the area and is pay as you go, so is out of my control, although I have passed on the quest's comment.

Coast/Beach:

The beach is a 3 mins walk from the property down a slipway and a few steps. It is sand and shingle and the water is shallow enough for a safe distance for paddling and bathing.

Travel:

The nearest ferry crossing is Lymington/Yarmouth, which is approx 10 mins drive (3 miles) away. There is also Portsmouth/Fishbourne approx 45 mins drive and Southampton/Cowes approx 40 mins drive. Taxis are available at ferry ports. If using buses there is a 10 mins walk from the main road to the bungalow site.

Distances:

The nearest village is Freshwater, approx 1.5 miles away. The picturesque harbour town of Yarmouth is approx 3 miles and the Needles and Alum bay pleasure park is approx 4 miles. The main town of the Island, Newport, and Carrisbrooke castle are approx 12 miles. All other attractions are easily reached by car. The Island bus service offers day, weekly and family rover tickets. Ask the driver for details.

Further Details:

There is a small shop on Brambles chine and a laundrette. There are local shops and 2 supermarkets in Freshwater, also a post office, library and banks. There are many public houses in the area, serving food and there are fish & chip, Chinese and Indian takeaways nearby. There is a Leisure centre in Freshwater with indoor swimming pool and gym facilities and also a medical centre. Along the beach is Colwell, where you can buy all your beach accessories, get an ice cream or drink or have a meal in the beachside restaurant.
