A charming 'Provencal' house which is situated at the foot of the ancient village of Menerbes. It is an excellent area for walking, cycling and other outdoor activities. The house has a large terrace covered with trees, to provide a cooling shade from the summer sun. The property has two living room areas, a large open kitchen with dining table. One living room is equipped with satelite TV a large open fireplace. A new swimming pool is being built in January 2015. The house is situated close to many of the stunning villages of Provence. The house has recently been decorated and is made available for holiday rental purposes, when the owner is not using it.

Cozy and quiet place in Provence, FR

I was a guest for last year's Easter holidays. The house is comfortable and well located, which allowed us to drive about the region, visit nice village fairs and eat at very good restaurants. The region is very good for biking too!

Provençal house near Menerbes

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this beautiful, tastefully decorated house. It was too cold in October to use the pool, but it was warm enough to sit in the garden and to walk up the (quite steep) hill to the village. I would suggest having a car here as there are lots of interesting places to explore in the area. The house does have an open staircase, so perhaps it is not suitable for very young children. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

We bought our house in Provence because we fall in love with this region, with the people, the culture and its authenticity. We are out of city crowd in 3h by train and in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions of France with the calming and relaxing nature all around..

Nearest Airport : Marseille-Provence at 75 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : Junction 24 from north & 25 from south at 30 Kilometres


The nearest airport is Marseille Marignane at 75 kilometers.

The nearest train station is Avignon TGV at 35 kilometers.

The use of a car is essential.


Our house is at 5 min drive to the village of Ménerbes.

The other provencial villages as Bonnieux, Gordes, Roussillon are 20 min drive and the beautiful "Abbaye de Sénanque" is at 25 min drive.

We are in the heart of Provence !

The Luberon, situated in the South, is considered to be one of France’s most beautiful regions. It sits in the heart of Provence. The area is known for many wonderful aspects including gastronomy and ancient French villages of a charming nature, many of which are officially listed as “village de charme” by the French patrimoine. Our house is situated in a small hamlet at the foot of the beautiful village of Menerbes. The area is also well known for the tales recounted in Peter Mayle’s book “A Year in Provence”.

The house has four bedrooms with a possibility for a fifth. Two of the bedrooms are adult bedrooms and two are suitable for children. The house has a distinct character and charm in keeping with the region and is fully equipped with all facilities to make your holiday an easy and relaxing one.

The house is easily accessible by high speed train to Avignon or by plane to Marseille.

In order to protect my property from any potential damages, I require guests to pay a Refundable Deposit of 500 €. This can be done at the beginning of your stay. This deposit will be given back to you at the end of your stay in case of no damages.

Rentals starts on a Saturday.
Arrivals are at 3.00 pm.
Departures at 10.00 am.

Notes on cancellation prices:

Our cancellation policy is 50% of the total rental price is due for cancellations received between two months and one month before the reservation begins.
70% of total rental is due for cancellations received between one month and the date of arrival.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

All bedrooms are fully equipped.

  • Notes on accommodation: The house is in a hamlet and there are neighbours nearby the house making the property secure and at the same time private. We ask guests to respect the privacy of our neighbours, who are charming and accomodating. We do not accept pets and smokers in the house. Outside: Private swimming pool newly installed in January 2015. The garden is very private and has an excellent terrace which is shaded from the sun during the day. There are two outside spaces for eating, which seat 6 people comfortably but can accomodate 8. The pool is not a heated pool. There are 4 sun loungers and deck chairs available for guests to use. There are 2 bicycles. One female and one male. Utility Room: Drying space, washing machine and large sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included at the beginning but not changed during the stay. It is up to the renter to clean linen and towels during your stay. If you want a cleaning service during your stay we can arrange this at your charge. Other: We have a loft area which has been converted into bedroom space.
