Beautiful cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything that you will need for your stay. Location is very central in Yarmouth so ideal for all the lovely restaurants, pubs and shops nearby. Within 2 minutes walking distance of the ferry link and only 5 minutes walk to the main car park, it is in a very quiet location and has a lovely sunny patio at the back, ideal for catching the afternoon sun. I can't recommend this cottage enough and would certainly stay there again.

Stunning property, quiet yet central location

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a wonderful weeks holiday in this stunning cottage tucked away but near all the amenities of Yarmouth.

The owners have thought of just about everything you might need.

We hope to be back very soon. My husband had never been to the IOW but now wants to retire there!

Excellent property in an excellent location

  • 5 of 5

The property is decorated and fitted out extremely well with a nice back yard which is a bit of a sun trap. The fact the property is in an alley way with no through road means you have excellent privacy and zero noise on an evening. a perfect location for walking, eating, drinking and having a great holiday on the Isle of Wight. The owner was excellent and called once we arrived to make sure everything was in order. I would not let the fact that there is no parking available at the property put you off as the main Yarmouth car park is only a 60 second walk away and we paid £39 for a 7 day permit but this also included parking at virtually any council run car park on the island which was really convenient. We will definitely be back!

Blissful Weekend in Yarmouth

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, quaint, quintessential cottage, you'll find it all and more at HardTack Cottage. In or out of main seasons you couldn't wish for a cosier, more beautifully decorated place to stay. In season, over for the Gaffers or other busy times, this cottage is tucked away from any noise and assures peace and tranquility but is literally 30 seconds from The Square. Log burner, cosy blankets to curl up in on the sofa after a day's walking (make sure you do the Yarmouth Freshwater walk with a stop at the Red Lion). You don't need anything more to make this the perfect romantic hideaway or in my case a wonderful weekend with Mum and Dad sightseeing the Island - we got buses everywhere - you don't need a car and we saw pretty much all of the island. Within 5 minutes of the Yarmouth ferry docking you can be in the cottage with your first gin and tonic poured. Alternatively could be suited for a family break (although no garden to play football in but a stone's throw from the village green). One twin and one double room both beautifully appointed and THE MOST COMFY BED AND PILLOWS AND QUILT. I slept like a log. The owner should be very proud to call this her cottage and I hope that everyone that stays here has such a fabulous experience. The information folder was also extremely well put together and nothing is left to chance. I wish I could stay every weekend.
