Phoenix Cottage is a beautiful, spacious barn conversion with many traditional features including a large fire place, open timber beams and a country kitchen with granite worktops. The cottage is centrally heated and double-glazed with a large open lounge/diner living area, a farmhouse style kitchen which features an Alpha cooker, and a family bathroom with unique marble walls. Outside there is private parking and a mature garden which is ideal for barbecues. Free WiFi.

Outside: Outside to the rear there is a large enclosed graveled courtyard for parking with a private drive. To the front there is a mature gardens and lawn with outside seating area, ideal for barbecues. Utility Room: Spacious utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer and plenty of storage space. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and bed linen are provided, but please bring your own beach-towels if required. The cottage will be cleaned prior to your stay. Free change of bedding and towels available for two-week bookings upon request.

Loved everything about it.

House was very well equipped. Location was perfect for us as it was central to many of the places that we wanted to visit. Although the property was set back from a main road it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Owner was very friendly and we would definately return again.

We had a great stay at Pheonix Cottage. The surrounding area has lots to offer, beautiful beaches & my favourite town, Penzance. Would love to come back and stay again!

Fantastic stay!

The property is immaculately maintained with every possible home comfort you could possibly wish for. Incredible! Set back from the road and accessed via a gate, the cottage has so much charm, warmth and is very cosey with its brick walls, beams and a log fire. Living space and bedrooms were very comfortable and served all of our family needs. The owner provided a wonderful cream tea for our arrival which was very welcome indeed!

Close by to Praa Sands beach and cafe, we were able to walk in the breezy sea air and watch the waves crashing in. Awesome! Lovely pub is just a short walk up the road to the Lion and Lamb where they serve great food at good prices.

Easy to access all areas in this part of Cornwall- Lands End, Falmouth, St Ives and Penzance. Would highly recommend Porthleven, a lovely little village with great pubs! This was our first time to this area and we have loved every minute there as an immediate relief to our normal hectic lifestyles. Would highly recommend staying here and would most definitely return again (except we make a rule to never go to the same place twice!).

Just over a mile away is the stunning Praa Sands beach which is good for surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking and fishing. On the beach there is an excellent restaurant and bar where you can relax and enjoy the amazing views. The beach has a Lifeguard service running from May to September and is ideal for families.

Travel:

Newquay airport is 45 miles away. Penzance railway station is 8 miles away.

Distances:

The cottage is in the village of Ashton, which is a mile away from Praa Sands. In the village, just a short walk away, is the Lion and Lamb Inn which is an award-winning family pub that serves food daily. The nearest towns are Helston (4.5 miles), Penzance (9 miles) and St Ives (15 miles).
