Phoenix Cottage is a beautiful, spacious barn conversion with many traditional features including a large fire place, open timber beams and a country kitchen with granite worktops. The cottage is centrally heated and double-glazed with a large open lounge/diner living area, a farmhouse style kitchen which features an Alpha cooker, and a family bathroom with unique marble walls. A beautiful cottage in a nice quiet location near to many places of interest

We had a wonderful short break in Phoenix cottage . This was a get together of a small group to surf and explore the area . Found the cottage to be comfy and quiet with all you could need for a holiday . As an autumn break the tumble dryer came in handy to refresh our surf towels for the next day . Hard to fault the accommodation as had everything we needed and more will be returning again

A beautiful and peaceful cottage and very well equipped with everything you need. Hope to return.

Stayed for a holiday at the end of May 2016 to visit family. Cottage was very comfortable and clean and has all you need such as iron, hairdrye, towels etc. Very well equipped. The cottage is well located and is around 30 minutes from Lands End. Received a warm welcome of scones, clotted cream & jam, a very thoughtful touch. Would love to return again some time. I recommend this cottage as it was faultless.

A beautiful retreat!

On arrival at Phoenix Cottage, we were welcomed with a lovely cream tea set out for us, wonderful that was the start of our holidays!!

The cottage is tastefully decorated and has every item needed. A great sized cottage, allowing everyone to have their own space! Even a good space under the stairs for our dogs bed!

Great to have the utility as you come in for wet dog and muddy wellies.

Great position to get to all the local beaches, never having to travel very far, a bonus after a long journey. We also walked from the cottage to Praa sands and also the coastal path to Porthleven, about 4 miles but wonderful views,a little hairy in parts but fantastic

Convenient for pubs in the area, The Falmouth Packet, being our favourite, great roasts!

When we return to Cornwall, we would very much like to stay here again. Wonderful holiday!!

Fantastic Cottage, Attention to Detail

Wow! What a wonderful find this cottage was. As soon as we walked through the door we all felt so at home. Imagine our surprise when we discovered a lovely plate of scones, clotted cream and jam. In fact everything to make a cream tea. This cottage has everything you could want and more and the owner really has paid attention to detail, basically thinking about what they would like if they were staying there and making sure it is there. Thank you to Nicola for making our stay so amazing, we certainly will consider staying again

Coast/Beach:

Just over a mile away is the stunning Praa Sands beach which is good for surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking and fishing. On the beach there is an excellent restaurant and bar where you can relax and enjoy the amazing views. The beach has a Lifeguard service running from May to September and is ideal for families.

Travel:

Newquay airport is 45 miles away. Penzance railway station is 8 miles away.

Distances:

The cottage is in the village of Ashton, which is a mile away from Praa Sands. In the village, just a short walk away, is the Lion and Lamb Inn which is an award-winning family pub that serves food daily. The nearest towns are Helston (4.5 miles), Penzance (9 miles) and St Ives (15 miles).
