Cottage in Whitby, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire, England - You Can See The Steam Trains Making Their Daily Journey To And From Whitby

The cottage itself has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area, and is heated by modern electric heating, with a living flame electric fire available for added warmth. The kitchen has been completely remodelled with an electric cooker and hob, a Fridge /Freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and the normal crockery and cooking implements. There is also an iron and ironing board if you really want to use them while on holiday! Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, with ample storage space and a bathroom with bath and electric shower. Linen is included in the cost with the exception of towels; beds will be made up for your arrival. Electricity costs are included in the price. Travel cot and high chair available if required. Parking is available for one car on hard standing outside the house. The cottage itself is family run and maintained but there is an office on site for general enquiries about the surrounding area etc. Short breaks are available in off peak periods or in high season at short notice if there is a vacancy. These operate from Saturday to Tuesday (3 night) and Tuesday to Saturday (4 night). The cottage now has WIFI connection, Sorry this is a no smoking and no pets property

Outside: The site has large open spaces and play areas. Small garden area to front of property, grassed area to rear. Small balcony with bistro table and seating. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: You only need to bring your own towels, all other linen provided and beds made up ready for your arrival. If booked for a two week stay (or longer) bedding changed and property cleaned at end of each week.

Great cottage, great location.

What a lovely cottage in a quiet complex convenient for Whitby!

The cottage is very cosy and has all amenities you could require.

On arrival the owners had kindly left bread, butter and milk, as well as a slab of Whitby Brack even though we only stayed for 2 nights. How thoughtful!

The cottage is very comfortable and nicely decorated, it feels like home from home.

The kitchen is plenty big enough to cater for 4 people.

The complex is very well kept and has 2 play areas for young children and an indoor pool.

The walk into Whitby along the cinder path took about 20 minutes, and that with 2 small children. Very pleasant.

We took a taxi back as the children were tired. At £7 it was probably cheaper and certainly more convenient than bus.

I would certainly recommend this property if you are staying in the area.

Wonderful time

Lovely clean well kept holiday cottage. Nice welcome pack - milk, bread & cake. Beds comfy, house nice and warm. Kitchen is compact, especially the fridge, but as long as you are not cooking a gourmet meal you'll be fine. Shower is compact as well, so not great if you are tall. Swimming pool a bonus, temperature warm. All in all fantastic value for money.

Pleasantly surprised

Booked last minute for a weekend Birthday treat. Was wonderfully surprised on walking in Friday night, the house was lovely and warm, had read about a welcome pack but what we received was more than expected and a lovely extra surprise left by the owners to help us celebrate. We walked over the Viaduct Friday night as far as to the school and would say was a do able walk into Whitby possibly 25/30 minutes. Went in the swimming pool Saturday 5 pm had it to ourselves, just a shame doesn't open more especially on a Saturday. Overall a great property in a lovely quiet location, hopefully will be able to find some time to definitely stay again.

Fantastic holiday stay

Very clean and functional stay on a complex that does not feel crowded. Swimming pool small but great and adequate for needs as only people in the pool. Would imagine stays quiet due to long opening hours Sunday to Friday. 2 parks that offer younger children an outdoor play area. Cinder track great for walking into Whitby or further a field the opposite way to Scarborough. Home was comfortable with good beds, furniture, cooking utensils and leather sofas were very comfy on an evening. What stood this place apart was owners who respond quickly and go the extra mile with welcome pack and toys, books and games for children. Kitchen small for self catering but OK if eat out often as no dishwasher or workspace. No washing machine but laundry on site. I would definitely recommend and thank you for anow enjoyable stay
