Luxury 10 Bedroom House just 15 mins inland from the beautiful North Norfolk Coast

Caradon House is a Grade II listed Georgian house set on the village green in East Rudham, North Norfolk and has strong links to the Royal Sandringham estate, having formerly been the veterinary surgery to the Royal stud. The property has recently undergone a major renovation very much in the style of a small boutique hotel and now comprises 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms and sleeps 20 + 2. The property comprises large open plan living spaces with the centre piece being a large open plan kitchen with two sets of bifolding doors opening onto a south facing terrace and a large enclosed garden of circa 1 acre beyond. The accommodation includes a formal dining room which seats up to 22, large open plan kitchen with two large tressle tables providing seating for 20, a statement island unit, two AGAs, Nespresso coffee machine, library, games room, sitting room, playroom/snug, and spacious corridors. Outside there is seating for 20, a BBQ and stone baked pizza oven. East Rudham is an attractive Georgian village with a gastro pub (The Crown Inn), a village store and a butchers.

Beautiful House, high spec

Joined my family for a special wedding anniversary. The house is stunning, tastefully decorated and furnished with hi-spec appliances. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms lovely although I had the only room that wasn't en suite but it was a lovely big room and I shared a huge bathroom with a magnificent bath. Great barbecue and pizza oven and not just one Aga but two! (Aga fan!). The house shouts quality and comfort and there were enough leisure rooms for 17 of us across 3 generations not to feel on top of one another.

There was a problem with some steps making access difficult for our wheelchair user but the owners provided ramps and they also taped step edges which were difficult for some elderly members of the party to see. We were a very diverse group with a range of mobility issues and no house will ever be perfect for everyone. This one came very close and most agreed they would love to come back. It felt very homely for such a big house.

Location is great, good pub with tasty menu and a tea shop both a short walk across the village green.

The only downside for me was the traffic noise as I had a room at the front of the house in the older part of the building so no double glazing and I couldn't have my window open at night. Bin day was particularly disturbing.

For a group without our disability issues this house would be pretty much perfect.

Impressive property

Caradon House is an impressive property which has been very well designed - it has great character and was spotless. The garden was excellent for croquet and football playing and the dogs loved it too. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms excellent.

The downsides (there are always downsides) were the noisy main road which is not mentioned in the description - the traffic noise disturbed the sleep for the guests at the front of the house every night. The kitchen although looks impressive is very difficult to use - ie the microwave is at knee level - and the equipment is so high tech it takes an age to work out how to use them and don't get me started on the aga.....

One of the main problems is that the house is described as wheelchair accessible. As usual this description merely means that a wheelchair user can get into the house but from then on it is steps all the way through the ground floor. The only downstairs bedroom is up 3 lots of steps requiring very steep ramps. The ensuite wasn't a wet room - what a missed opportunity to make disabled guests feel welcome. Very disappointing in this day and age.

I would recommend Caradon House as it is spacious and modern - but it isn't perfect

Beautiful and well equipped

Booked Caradon House for a birthday weekend away, amazing property.

The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The kids enjoyed running around in the massive garden.

Lovely touch of some cold beers, snacks and homemade cake left by the owners.

Can't wait to go back!

Caradon House is circa 15 miles inland from the beautiful North Norfolk Coast.

The stunning Georgian village of Burnham Market, with its village green surrounded by 18th Century houses, shops and designer boutiques and the Hoste Arms is just 12 miles away.

The beautiful Georgian market town of Holt, Royal Sandringham and Anmer Hall (the country retreat of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - Will & Kate) are all less than 20 miles from Caradon House

For the avoidance of doubt, no stag parties are accepted.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is a Friday for 7 night stays.

Short breaks are available for 3 nights commencing on a Friday (4pm) or for 4 nights commencing on a Monday (4pm), except in school holidays
