Relax on the double-width balcony, and enjoy uninterrupted views over the Mediterranean Sea and Playa de Los Locos, arguably, the best beach in Costa Blanca's Torrevieja. The beach is immediately opposite the front entrance. Cool off or exercise in the communal inter-connected swimming pools or head to the roof terrace. Alternatively, relax inside with the air-conditioning, broadband WiFi, Satellite TV (lots of English channels) or a DVD.

Open-plan lounge/ diner with well-equipped kitchen. Sliding doors open out onto the double-width balcony from both the lounge and master bedroom. Double bedroom (with sliding doors out on to balcony), twin bedroom and, if required, a double sofa-bed.

The owners could have just relied on the apartment's amazing view and convenient situation but instead they have packed the place with thoughtful aids to modern life - WiFi, DVDs, hairdryer, dishwasher, washing machine, iron... Best of all, it's so wonderfully cheerful and stylish. Sally, our housekeeper, was really helpful too. We ate every night at the restaurant next door. Great food, terrific value.

Beautiful sea view, very secure complex.

Great apartment, lots of room for 4 adults. Very clean and modern. We stayed for two weeks in June, loved the area , plenty of nice restaurants nearby and a lovely walk along the promenade to the centre. The meet and greet worked perfectly, it was great having all the TV channels and free wifi especially on a longer stay. I would definitely return to this area and apartment again.

This apartment has all the amenities that will give you a satisfactory holiday just a look from the balcony to the beach for a peaceful time.with a drink or meal. Second time at Danny's apartments for a 10 night stay I am sure I will return to rebook this apartment.

Clean - excellent view - good supplies

The housekeeper, Sally, is very courteous. When we need her she respond promptly. The apartment is clean and we find everything after a short walk. So we recommand this apartment as a nice place to stay.

The property was fine apart from heating problems which was never solved very cold in evenings

The property and view was great pity that we had 4days of bad storms which caused leaking in the kitchen behind washer which was reported to housekeeper. Eventually electrics blew thankfully it was still daylight several attempts by us to put the main switch on but just kept knocking all electrics off, by this time the housekeeper came who lived an hour way also made attempts to get the electric working, to no avail, this was Saturday lunchtime we still hadn't eaten from Fri 16th because of the weather and being misled by the standin housekeeper who told us there was a s one along the road which turned out to be a toy shop after an hour of searching my husband came back soaked with nothing to eat so by Saturday we were beginning to run out of patience, but to be fair the regular housekeeper moved us to the downstairs apartment temporarily which was depressing and offered to to take us to Iceland so things weren't too bad until we got back and found no heating in the downstairs apartment so we were back to square one with no promise of the air conditioning and heating being repaired mid week if we were lucky.

So we rang Sally and didn't hear any more but by this time we were really cold and got into bed throughout all this we never heard from Danny Brieley so rang him I admit to being angry but who wouldn't be he obviously knew because he said Sally was on her way with a heater which seemed to be for ever when she arrived I told her that she should have checked everything it was clear that one heater would not be enough so she went find another which as you know the system would will not take to much usage so we kept getting blowouts, sally said that the element must have gone.

Sunday came and we decided to pack our suitcases as we had had enough we didn't want to stay in the downstairs apartment any longer its depressing along with electric problems, Sally arrived and we told her we were going home. One of her colleagues suggested to put the aircondtioning out of action in the upstairs apartment and maybe we would get lighting etc and it worked so we were left with 2 heaters that kept blowing when any appliance was put on with left us several times in complete darkness only helped by a match to guide us to the fuse box, the weather of course was improving so we enjoyed the daytime it was the evening that were worse .

In all of this we did not get a call from Danny an apology or anything even when we got home no message of apology or compensation

Owner's Response: I am glad to hear you say "the property and view were great"! I am sorry you were disappointed on arrival by the weather (Storm Barbara). Having arrived on the Friday, because of the weather, you chose not to venture out to a shop until the Sunday, only then to be frustrated that all immediate shops were closed (out-of-season they close or only partially open on Sundays). Complaining about this, our House Keeper came back and drove you to a supermarket that was open. Due to the severe rain over 4 days (an unusual weather event), regrettably a leak did emerge at the far end of the kitchen. Again, our House Keeper returned and temporarily moved you to our pool-facing apartment (same spec, more outdoor space, 1 double bedroom) in the same building. Because you said you were cold, again our House Keeper returned with one, and then another, electric heaters. It appears, leaving both of these on full heat occasionally caused the electrics to trip. As a result, we have arranged for the electricity capacity to be upgraded in both our apartments. I spoke to you on the phone a few times and you acknowledge you were angry. You in fact were screaming at me, not listening to my responses/ offers. More troubling was how our House Keeper was treated. She went the extra mile on more than one occasion to assist you and was left in tears by the way she was treated. I am sorry your plan to spend Christmas away from the UK was blighted by unusual-even-for-Spain weather and the unfortunate side-effects that resulted from this.

Playa de Los Locos (760 metres long) is on your doorstep and is arguably the best beach in the area. Like all Torrevieja's four sandy beaches, it flies the 'blue flag' for cleanliness, water quality, facilities and safety. It includes a children's play area and beach cafe.

10-15 minutes walk along the promenade is the lively and central Playa del Cura beach (325 metres long) especially popular with Spanish holidaymakers in the height-of-summer.

Travel:

Alicante (26 miles) and Murcia San Javier (21 miles) airports have direct flights to many UK airports: Belfast; Birmingham; Blackpool; Bournemouth; Bristol; Cardiff; Doncaster; East Midlands; Glasgow; Glasgow Prestwick; Leeds/Bradford; Liverpool; London Gatwick; London Luton; Luton Stanstead; Manchester; Newcastle; Southend; Southampton Eastleigh - as well as many other European cities.

Car hire is often cheaper in Spain BUT, with a direct coach-transfer from Alicante, consider going car-less!

Further Details:

Playa de Los Locos is on the edge of Torrevieja, a thriving coastal town, popular with Spaniards, Scandinavians and Brits. With no major hotel complexes or high rise developments, it is has retained more of its Spanish feel than perhaps some of the northern Costa Blanca resort towns.

Within walking distance is a bakery, general store, pharmacy, small supermarket, bicycle hire and a couple of bars and restaurants.
