Newly built and opened in December 2014, St George’s House is a contemporary Bath stone building in a quiet location off a Georgian crescent, just 5 minutes level walk from the town centre and less than 10 minutes from Bath’s most famous crescent, The Royal Crescent.

Awarded 4 Star Gold rating by Visit Britain. Soft leather and oak furniture, really comfortable beds, a sleek modern kitchen and contemporary bathrooms, excellent modern heating and insulation all make for a relaxing and luxurious home for enjoying the pleasures of Bath.

Both peaceful bedrooms can be made up with either superking (180 cms) double beds or separate twins.

You can leave your car in the secure private parking space and walk to all the famous sights, coming home to the comforts of your luxurious apartment!

About Alison Curran

We have lived in Bath for just over 12 years and feel very privileged to live in such a lovely city. We enjoy the environment, the lifestyle, the restaurants, the arts events, the open spaces and some of us enjoy the shopping too... We live about 10 minutes away from the apartment, on the edge of the city and are on hand for any information about our beautiful city.

We love the location - in the city, yet in a really quiet position off one of the Georgian crescents and only a moment from the river. All of Bath's sights, shops and restaurants are within a short stroll, so no car needed.

What makes this apartment unique

Contemporary building techniques mean that the apartment has all the comforts of modern living (good heating, insulation, plumbing and no draughty sash windows!), whilst being around the corner from Georgian elegance.

"We all really enjoyed our week at No.4. The apartment was perfect for us, extremely clean and comfortable with quality linen, towels etc. lovely bathrooms, beautiful beds and comfortable furniture. Just as described on the website. Breakfast provided on the first morning was a lovely touch, and was very much appreciated. The location is excellent. We loved the fact it is so near to the Royal Victoria Park, Royal Crescent, Queens Square, shops, restaurants and everything that Bath has to offer. We were 100% pleased with our choice and would highly recommend this apartment.



I would very much appreciate if you could email me back with the details of where the bed and the mattress topper were purchased from as my parents would like to treat themselves and have said that only those in Number 4. will do!! The chairs with footstools were a real hit too. What more can I say ....."

  • The family bathroom has a full-size bath with a shower over and a glass shower screen. The en-suite in the master bedroom has a large shower. Both bathrooms have heated towel rails and plenty of fluffy White Company towels.

Beautiful apartment, really well appointed. Great location!

The apartment is really lovely and equipped extremely well. Lovely touches included the breakfast which was provided including homemade bread and the toiletries in the bathrooms. The beds were super comfy and great that they could be either 'superkings' or 2 singles in both rooms.

Alison was really helpful and made everything really easy for us.

We will definitely recommend and plan to come back again one day.

Wonderful stay

Had a brief but wonderful stay at the property. It was a short walk to the centre of Bath, where there are numerous sights, restaurants and shops to tempt your fancy. The property itself was very clean and modern, and has all the facilities you need for a stress free break. We even had fresh bread provided for our first morning's breakfast! How cool is that! We slept so well, that we had to ask Alison where she got her bedding from! Would not hesitate to recommend this property, and now dreaming when we can return!

We can also arrange lots of different activities.

The apartment is an ideal city base for cycling and walking holidays. The Bristol and Bath Railway Path is just a few metres from the apartment and numerous other routes start close by. There is covered, communal lockable storage for bikes in the parking area and our apartment has a locker for outdoor gear.

Travel:

Bath Spa station: a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride away.

Bristol Airport: 19 miles (a regular bus service runs between the airport and Bath Spa station or taxis can be arranged).

Heathrow Airport: easily reached by train or coach and approx. 1 hr 45 mins by car.

Central London: good road and rail connections with regular trains between Bath and Paddington taking 1hr 30mins.

A car is not needed.

Distances:

Bristol: 15 minutes by train (12 miles)

Longleat: 40 minutes by car (20 miles)

Stonehenge: 55 minutes by car (34 miles)

Salisbury: 1 hour by car (40 miles)

Glastonbury: 1 hour by car (25 miles)

Cheltenham: 1 hour 10 minutes by car (54 miles)

Numerous National Trust properties within an hour's drive.

Bath really does have something for everyone, from beautiful architecture to tempting independent shops, world-famous sights, elegant gardens for relaxing and spacious parks where children can let off steam. There are numerous cultural festivals, including the famous Bath International Music Festival, and the welcoming family atmosphere of Bath rugby will appeal to anyone who likes sport. There is horse racing at Bath Racecourse, car and motorcycle racing at Castle Combe and numerous golf clubs in, and just outside, Bath.
