House in Marhamchurch, Nr. Bude, Cornwall, - Quiet Cul-De-Sac In Picturesque Village, 1.5 Miles From Seaside Resort Of Bude And Widemouth Bay

A modern three-bedroom house, which sleeps up to seven, ideally situated in the picturesque village of Marhamchurch, just 1.5 miles from the seaside towns of Bude and Widemouth Bay.The house is located at the top end of a cul de sac with far reaching views over the local countryside as well as the sea at Widemouth Bay . It comprises of a very large reception/entrance hall area with a football table and other games to play. On the 1st floor you will find the fully equipped Kitchen Diner with sea view and french windows into the garden . Off of this there is the large , spacious lounge with BT Sport 50 inch LG TV plus those fantastic views to the sea and also with French windows leading out to the garden . The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable with plenty of storage space plus a TV . The master bedroom has it,s own separate shower room with toilet and basin . The second room has a large double bed and also a single bed , again with plenty of storage and a TV . The third room is a double with lots of wardrobe space and has the bathroom directly outside of the door as does the second bedroom . In the garden area there is plenty of seating around a large table , 2 large fish ponds ( covered ) and a lawn area to sunbathe and relax on . All in all this is a ideal holiday home .

Having spent many years in the hospitality trade , living on site , we purchased this property in 2003 as it is only 400 yards or so from the pub that we owned " The Bullers Arms" . A couple of years later we sold the pub and decided to retire from the trade after some 40 or so years. We love the area having lived all our lives here and saw no reason to move . There are fantastic walks which can often take in such places as the Weir Bistro which is 10 mins or 30 min over to the Bay View at Widemouth Bay or down the canal into Bude itself and its many fine hostelries and cafes . And of course we are 5 min away from the ever charming Bullers . Tony is a keen golfer and a member at Bude and North Cornwall golf club and can often get golf deals at other local clubs that are on a seperate list

Some of the country's finest beaches are within touching distance. The beaches of Bude ( voted the UK,s BEST COASTAL RESORT 2015 ) and Widemouth Bay (both now have a blue flag award) are 2 miles away, while Crackington Haven is a short but stunning cliff-top drive. Tourist resorts including Rock, Padstow and Newquay are between 30 minutes to an hour away.


The closest National Rail station is Bodmin Parkway, around 30 minutes away. Bude is served by regular buses from Exeter city centre and St Davids station. Newquay Airport is 38 miles away - with daily flights to and from London Gatwick Airport and Manchester Airport, as well as day trips to the Isles of Scilly. A car is recommended.


The house is situated in the small village of Marhamchurch, while the larger town of BUDE and its two blue flag , RNLI covered beaches are a short drive or a leisurely 30-minute walk along the canal or cycle there in less than 15 minutes if you prefer.

Bude is an award-winning tourist resort with two beaches and plenty of character. The town features plenty of restaurants of various cuisines, pubs, bars and a nightclub. There are two swimming pools - one inside at Splash and the famous Sea Pool situated on Summerleaze Beach - plus a bowling alley. There are plenty of picturesque walks, including along the canal, coastal paths and cliff tops. There are many places of interest nearby, including Boscastle, King Arthur's Castle and Stone, Padstow, Newquay and the Eden Project. Land's End is a 90-minute drive and well worth a day trip.

Apart from the spacious , light and open house we have a large garden with a BBQ and a lawn area with some comfortable seating where you can wile away the evenings with a glass or two of wine with your food . There is a small village shop and there are 3 supermarkets in Bude itself which is a 5 min drive along the A39 . If you don,t want to cook there are some great local takeaways , Cantonese , Indian etc which the local taxi companies will collect for you if you wish . You also have the option of someone coming in and cooking for you . All in all the property is well suited for all your holiday needs . Change over day is on a Saturday .

Large double doors separate the kitchen/diner and family room, which includes two large sofas and a 50" TV with BT Vision and broadband. There is ample parking both at the house and on the street.
