About the Owner

Had holiday home on Island for over 30 years, our children always loved their holidays on the Isle of Wight and we enjoyed life here beaches, cafes, bars and the people. When all the children had flown the nest we decided to move here and bought the house next door for our children with their children to enjoy. Now they are buying their own houses in Cowes so we can now let ours out to you. Now have bought Granville Road for more of you to enjoy.

Half Term week away with the kids

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a week in the Isle of Wight with our two young children (2 and 4 years old). 56 Granville Road was the perfect holiday home for us, both in terms of location and layout/amenities of the property itself. It has everything you need, very clean and modern with lots of space. It is on a nice quiet little road and only 5 minutes walk into the beautiful town of Cowes. All other attractions are very close by, furthest is probably only 30 mind drive max. Sandy and her husband were very accommodating, we had a welcome pack including milk, butter and even chocolate and biscuits for the kids which was a lovely touch. They were even on hand to let us back in when the kids accidentally locked us out :) nothing was too much for them. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a break in IOW, whether that be a family with children or couples/groups of friends.

A gem of holiday home

  • 5 of 5

This house is the most wonderful holiday home, the photos do not do it justice. On our fourth visit to Cowes, it was the best crew house we've found to date. Very spacious and clean and beautifully finished. Its location within 5 minutes walk of High Street was fantastic and the milk, butter and treats left for us were hugely appreciated. Many thanks.

Brilliant place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We have just come back from a great weekend in Cowes staying in this lovely house. The house is spacious and very clean, the kitchen has everything you need to cook in. Thank you to Sandy for all the little extras in the house, we didnt arrive until late on Friday and it was so nice to have milk and some snacks left out for us. It has lovely views across Cowes and set in a central location just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The perfect place to stay with family and friends.

Long weekend To Cowes Sept 15

  • 5 of 5

We brought over our parents to IoW for a big Birthday celebration & found 56 Granville Rd through Owners Direct & what a gem! It's a short walk to the High St, yet in a quiet residential location. Morning coffee on the sunny decking was perfect. It's stunning modern sociable kitchen with everything you could need for your stay. Even the vinegar for your chips!!! For me the house would also be ideal for that girlie trip, & will look to do that in the future! We visited Osborne House just a short distance away across the Chain Ferry. Then a drive out to the Needles catching the open top bus from Yarmouth. We walked down to Allum Bay & got the chair lift back up. ( not for the faint hearted ) 3 nights didn't seem long enough on such an interesting island. Thank you Sandy

Loved our stay!

  • 5 of 5

This stunning property was everything we expected it would be. The house is lovely and in excellent condition. The rooms are spacious and decor is above average. The kitchen is stunning and fully equipped. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the deck for early morning tea or late in the evening when everything was dead quiet. The location is excellent as well. It was our first trip to the Isle of Wight and we found the location ideal. It was only a short drive to The Needles which was a great day out. Cowes itself offered many choices for dining, refreshment and shopping. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Stunning House, Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely stunning property with fantastic fixtures and fittings. Spacious three bedroom property in the thick of it all in beautiful cowes, this would make the ideal setting for seeing the island but being close enough to shops, bars and restaurants. Set over three levels with beautiful bathrooms and an amazing kitchen this was the ideal venue for us. Gorgeous terrace for an early coffee or BBQ,our stay was fantastic and all the little touches made this experience extra special! Highly recommended, thanks
