Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, Sea view, Sleeps 6.

Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, North Wales, - Two Minutes Walk To Blue Flag Beaches

Seagull Cottage is a delightful modern cottage in beautiful Trearddur Bay. Seagull Cottage can slepp up to six guests and is furnished to a high standard being fully equipped for family holidays. We have some of the finest beaches in Wales on our doorstep which makes Trearrdur the ideal base for traditional beach holidays or exploring the island of Anglesey. Within walking distance of the cottage there are great family food pubs serving local produce and spectacular views across the bay. The sea is 100 metres away and visible from our living room. The village is small but has two convenience stores one of which has a cafe and one is a post office and Spar, within walking distance there are four pubs with excellent food and an excellent eat in or take away Chinese Restaurant.

In nearby Holyhead there is a retail park with the usual supermarkets (Tesco, Morrisons etc) and retail outlets, and the usual McDonald's, KFC etc.

The local leisure centre is a mile away and offers many activities including a heated indoor swimming pool with toddler / children's pool and has a disabled access hoist and disabled and family changing rooms.

South Stack Lighthouse is an interesting excursion which you can visit by buying a ticket at the RSPB visitor centre and descending the hundreds of steps down the cliffs. You can then do the tour and see the light. Porpoise, seals, puffins and other sea life are often visible here. Disabled guests cannot descend the steps but can get an excellent view from nearby Ellen's Tower by using the fairly level access path to the RSPB observatory. We can advise on other fun excursions.

Lovely property in great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely short break at Seagull Cottage.

The property is comfortable and well maintained.

Three days is not long enough though because there are so many places to visit on Anglesey.

South Stack Lighthouse is a must for its breath taking views.

Our three year old grandson Oliver loved Foel Farm, feeding the animals and the tractor rides.

Nice places to eat. Special thanks to The Black Seal for making a fuss of Oliver on his third birthday

Thank you Richard for a lovely stay

Great location, lovely property

  • 5 of 5

We had the first week of the 2016 school summer holidays at Seagull Cottage with our 2 grandsons aged 7 and 2. The cottage was very clean and well equipped and it was so helpful to have beach kit to borrow from the garage which minimised the amount crammed into the car. Such a great location for the beach - a very easy 5 minute flat walk, even with the buckets, spades, nets, changing bag, football, etc etc etc! And a lovely place to come back to every evening. We were fortunate to have a warm and sunny afternoon most afternoons the week we were there, so only used the car once on the only truly wet day the entire week when we visited the Sea Zoo which we can highly recommend. Two small boys were totally made up by the launch of the life boat right next to us on our last afternoon, and we were also lucky enough to see the rescue helicopter on a training exercise! All in all, a brilliant week in a lovely cottage with everything we could possibly need for a self catering holiday. I also want to make a special mention of the excellent comms from Rick - what a great landlord! Thank you Rick, Helen and Alicia for having us to stay, we hope to be back in the very near future!

The few days at Seagull Cottage was idyliic and with a layout suiting a variety of people's needs.

  • 5 of 5

Holy Island had the best you could ever wish for if you want a stunning coastline and rugged scenery. There are sandy coves as you turn each journey and small inlets with boats bobbing on the gentle waves. I know I shall return as soon as I am able.

A great find, well equipped and in the perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We were very impressed on arrival at Seagull Cottage. It was spotlessly clean, and has everything you need for a perfect little holiday.

We made use of the BBQ on our first night while the weather was good!

It was lovely and quiet in the evenings and the bed was very comfortable.

We took our 20 month old daughter with us, so we needed to take a travel cot and high chair with us, but she loved the fact everything was on one level and could walk around freely. There was also a good selection of DVDs which she liked to watch.

I'm so pleased we have found this property, we will certainly be booking again, and have recommended to family and friends.

Lovely short stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a very short stay of three nights at Seagull Cottage. The property was clean and very comfortable and had all the facilities we required. Unfortunately we had a few rainy days but the cottage was so pleasant that we were happy to relax there and we were able to visit Pili Palas butterfly farm and the Sea Zoo to keep our toddler entertained. The beach at Trearddur Bay is lovely, especially Porth Diana, but some of the local amenities are a bit basic.
