About Caroline Wright

I arrived on the train in Collioure from Paris (just like Matisse did many years before) and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere, beauty of the sea and town, Catalan culture, as well as the surrounding hills and mountains.

We have renovated and restored the house over the past 3 years.

I live and work in London; for me the house is a wonderful place to escape to a different pace of life, good food, beautiful views and the warm Mediterranean sea.

Hope you enjoy it too; please let me know!

Caroline Wright purchased this house in 2014

Why Caroline Wright chose Collioure

The Faubourg is quiet, right near the beach, with good local shops, restaurants, bars and very beautiful.

The house, probably around 300 years old, is light, airy, cool in summer yet warm and cosy during winter. It has a lovely view of the town and sea from the first floor balcony, seating both front and back, and retains many original features.

There are many good walks direct from the house, easy access to the town, beautiful views, and wonderful opportunities for swimming, boating, sunbathing, hiking, cooking, wine tasting, and soaking up the amazing atmosphere of this very special place!

What makes this house unique

The house is welcoming, calm, and full of character; within walking distance of everything needed for a great and memorable stay, whether for a few days, or longer; really hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

An absolute gem of a house

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have chosen a lovelier house to spend our honeymoon. We loved the location, just a few minutes from our favourite beach and the house itself had absolutely everything we could have asked for. The seating at the front of the house is perfect for watching the world go by and the pretty courtyard at the back is ideal for al fresco dining. We love Collioure and have spent the last few years staying in some beautiful properties but this for us was our favourite house and suited our needs perfectly, we have already booked again for next year and I expect we will return many times more! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house with us.

A lovely comfortable house

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent week's stay at this comfortable house in Collioure. Everything was as listed in the particulars, in was very clean and tidy and even had lots of books to read, but only managed 2 as there was so much to do and see within walking distance of the house. Lots of restaurants near by and the beach was a short stroll. No cars are allowed in the roads so parking can be an issue but get into the local car park very early and leave the car there all week!! I would highly recommend this property.
