'Armoni' apartment, with its unique feature of a sea view from the patio garden, will delight. There is natural shade provided by palms, while at the same time, plenty of room for sun-lovers to lounge in relative privacy or closer to one of the two clear blue pools just a stones throw away on either side of the garden. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you may need for your comfort and convenience. With the double doors open, the kitchen, living room and patio become virtually one extended space to enjoy a sense of complete relaxation both in and out of doors. Fast reliable wifi included.

This year we have slightly extended the patio area for more dining and sunbed space with side tables for refreshments. The shrubs and flowers are looking lovely!

I am a retired teacher and it has been my pleasure to travel in retirement but I always look forward to spending time here in Kalkan.

I came to Kalkan in April 2013 and fell in love with the old town, its traditional warm welcome and Turkish charm. When I saw this apartment for sale it proved irresistible and I'm looking forward to sharing it with guests old and new in the coming season.

Why Elizabeth Miller chose Lycian & Turquoise Coast

The climate of Kalkan is ideal for me as I suffer from back pain which is helped by the warm weather. But it is the atmosphere and ambience of Kalkan itself which convinced me to buy the property. With the beautiful sea views, quiet location and easy access to the town, I simply had to have my lovely little place in the sun! Last year, 2016 I spent time here at both the beginning of the season and again at the end of October, enjoying a spectacular 16 days of clear blue cloudless skies. May was lovely this year, too!

What makes this apartment unique

The complex is immaculate. The pools are pristine and often the whole area can be completely tranquil. The visitors to Kalkan are all very friendly and considerate and the whole place has a real sense of community, even though most people are just passing through for their holiday. It has a real genuine warmth to it that in my experience does not always exist in similar holiday destinations I have been to.

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Kalkan is on Turkey's 'Turquoise Coast'.Two of the most stunning sandy beaches are within 20 minutes drive of the apartment (Kaputas 15 mins and Patara 20 mins - 18k of white sand and a World Heritage Site ) Kalkan has its own pebble beach within easy walking distance, close to the harbour, bars and restaurants, and well supplied with sunbeds and parasols for a modest daily rental. There are many local beach clubs within easy reach and frequent free transport services by bus or boat.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Dalaman, 1 hour 45 mins by highway, with a comfort stop on route.

Flights from the UK are readily available and airport transfers can be booked or private transfers arranged on your behalf.

E-Visas need to be purchased on line before entry.

Distances:

A five minute stroll to the town centre and ten minutes down to the beach and harbour.

Kas, a half an hour's drive down the coast with spectacular scenery, has a bustling town centre, shops and a marina.

Excellent local tour operators provide many opportunities to explore the history and geography of the region with regular day trips to historic sites and places of outstanding natural beauty in the Taurus Mountains behind Kalkan. For the more active and adventurous you only have to ask!

Further Details:

The apartment is five minutes from the main supermarket, Turkish Bath -thoroughly recommended - and Kalkan Gym, and to the local Thursday Market with its copious fresh fruit and veg, household goods, leather, watches and jewellery, not to mention 'Turkish treats' - ceramics sweets and spices.

For additional security the apartment has traditional wrought iron grills which add to its Mediterranean charm.

There are English speaking doctors, dentists and pharmacists close by in the town, several banks with ATMs, shops for fresh fish, meat, vegetables and delicious patisserie and ice cream are all centrally located.

Prior to your arrival, your fridge will be stocked with a 'welcome pack' of essentials to help you feel at home from the start.

Most of the out-of-town restaurants along the coast or up in the hills provide a free taxi pick-up service, and, more recently, some of the local restaurants are offering a 'packet service,' takeaway or home delivery.

Notes on accommodation: This is a non-smoking apartment. Ashtrays are provided but we would respectfully request smoking outside only. Thank you. A torch and candles are supplied. Outside: With 2 of the 5 available pools close by, 'Armoni' is ideally placed for enjoying the camaraderie of the larger communal area or the relative peace and quiet, and surrounding gardens, of the smaller pool. At the same time you have the privacy of your private garden where a bougainvillea tree provides year round natural shade and your cold refreshments are only a step away in your fridge. Two sun loungers with comfy cushions are yours to use in the garden or by the pools and a poolside parasol may also be requested. Utility Room: A drying rack for laundry is in the covered store next to the bedroom. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bedlinen are provided and changed weekly when the apartment is cleaned. There are also beach/poolside towels available. For stays of less than 2 full weeks mid-stay cleaning is not provided. Other: Scrupulously clean pools and surrounding communal areas. Well tended gardens. Regular refuse collection.

Fabulouse home away from home

Liz was was very easy to deal with from the outset and a very understandig host ,a very generous welcome pack, all transfers arranged via Liz, and suported by Halis her very agreeable local representative a fabulous location and a well equipped property situated on a peacefull road with stunning views, supermarkets , butcher and green grocers within two minuets walk for those who like to cook. I would have work hard to find any faults.And thoroughly reccomend it.

Superb location

We stayed here for two weeks in September. Liz was extremely helpful throughout, as was Halis, her representative in Kalkan.

The apartment is ideally located in Kalkan with the start of the main street a couple of minutes away and the harbour about 5 minutes stroll down a very steep hill.

The apartment is very thoughtfully arranged and equipped, with for example, a plug socket next to the dressing table. The welcome pack is very generous and was much appreciated due to our late arrival.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment as it is one of the nicest we have stayed in. Thank you Liz for a thoroughly relaxing holiday.

Great location, what a gem!

I have stayed in this lovely apartment in Aug 16 for a week and I have to say, pictures don't do any justice to what you get. It is just a perfect location - 5 minutes walk to the old town!. I loved the way it was decorated, with every modern facility and still have that Turkish taste around. So obvious that Liz really cares about her guests and knows the comfort we need. You are well looked after from the minute you contact Liz, during your holiday and after. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to all my friends. Many thanks Liz

Lovely apartment in the perfect location

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my stay at Armoni last week. How lucky you are to own such a wonderful apartment! It was very well equipped and in such a fantastic setting. What a joy it was to be able to step out every morning onto the terrace and enjoy breakfast in my own private garden - and what luxury to have two pools literally a few steps from the front door! All in all I had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable week.

peacefully and relaxing

This is the fifth time we have been to Kalkan and the first time in Armoni and can honestly say it was exactly as described, it was very clean an comfortable with everything we could possibly need, the welcoming pack was the best we have ever had , Liz was very helpful with arranging the transfers for us, the apartment was very close to the town and beach , the pool area was very clean and peaceful.

Kalkan was as usual lovely and the restaurants amazing we will certainly be back and would have no hesitation in recommending Kalkan and Armoni to all our friends.

Ideal Location - Perfect Apartment

This was our 15th holiday in Kalkan and the 4th time we have stayed on this complex. Armoni was our favourite - its position on the complex is ideal - private but not too isolated. Lovely little garden giving the option to sunbathe there or at the pools on either side. The booking process was easy - Liz was extremely helpful and responded promptly to our queries. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you might need (including wi-fi). The welcome pack was the best we have ever had. Liz's representative in Kalkan was only a phone call away and he made an extra visit to us after an overnight thunderstorm to ensure we had no problems. We loved Armoni and can't wait to go back there.
