Cuckoo Croft is located in the quiet Shropshire hamlet of Little Ryton, an ideal base for family holidays and get togethers with friends, and for exploring the market towns of Shropshire and the surrounding countryside. The Croft has been sympathetically converted from an old cow barn and stables, it’s agricultural roots being reflected in the modern architectural detailing. With triple glazed windows, underfloor heating, ventilation system and solar pv panels this property combines contemporary styling, comfortable living and green credentials. There are five bedrooms, three double rooms and two triple rooms. Three bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and two share a family bathroom. The spacious open garden is enclosed by oak palisade fencing and hazel hurdles so is safe for children to run freely. The large patio has outdoor eating facilities and offers spectacular views out over the South Shropshire hills. The historic county town of Shrewsbury is within 6 miles of the property, as is the popular market town of Church Stretton. (Both are on the bus route which comes through Ryton if you prefer not to drive.) For walkers and off-road cyclists the Long Mynd, Lawley and Caer Caradoc are easily accessible whilst for roadies, there are a variety of scenic routes for every level of fitness! Our local village hall holds regular Flicks in the Sticks film events and The Horseshoes Inn in Dorrington (about 1.5 miles away) has a good reputation for lunch and evening meals. For very local entertainment your neighbours have two friendly dogs and some nosey (and photogenic) highland cows and calves. About the Owner

Run by Tracy and Nigel Bishton who live on a small holding and Farmhouse next door. We are on hand to offer whatever help and assistance you might require.

We have a couple of friendly dogs and a small number of inquisitive Highland Cows.

The barn is totally private from the main house.

The property has recently converted from a cowshed. We live here and enjoy walking and cycling in the area. We are happy to share our knowledge of great walks and cycling journeys. Wonderfully rural but not too far from the town of Shrewsbury where all the usual facilities are available.
