About David Lightfoot

We have spent many enjoyable holidays at our bungalow in Cornwall, especially now that retirement gives us more time. Our three grown up daughters and their families have happy memories of their stays in the bungalow and always look forward to visiting.

We usually stay out of the main season when the park is quiet. Our families visit in the school holidays when there is a fuller programme of activities in operation.

Over the years we have got to know the area well. In particular, we enjoy walking on the coast path with its spectacular scenery and stunning views.

On our visits we make sure that the bungalow is well maintained, clean and comfortable.

It is important to us that our guests enjoy our bungalow as much as we do.

David Lightfoot purchased this bungalow in 2004

Why David Lightfoot chose St Tudy

We have always enjoyed holidays in Cornwall with its distinctive, rugged coastline, its sandy beaches and its legends and history.

From the moment we drove up the long, woodland approach to Hengar Manor Country Park, we knew that this would be an ideal place to buy a holiday bungalow. We would have somewhere of our own to stay that would be a perfect location from which we could discover more of Cornwall.

In addition, we wanted a place where our daughters and their families could stay for a holiday. The bungalow is suitable accommodation for them to use the Country Park facilities and be within easy reach of the coast and other places of interest.

The bungalow was clean and comfortable. The bungalow is situated in a lovely rural setting with ducks roaming around the site. The Children loved the indoor heated pool and my husband and son enjoyed playing golf. Definitely would recommend to family and friends. The owner was quick to respond to any emails.

why ?

  • 3 of 5

the property was absolutely fine for what we wanted - a base to explore from.We run a holiday property in Suffolk and I was disappointed to have to pay for the wifi and to make our beds - neither of which we would expect guests to do.

Owner's Response: We are pleased that you found the accommodation a good base. Regarding WiFi our listing states that it is free in the Leisure Centre, but a payment to Club WiFi is required for use in the bungalow. At the moment this is the system for the whole of the Country Park. We understand your comment about making up the beds for arrival. This matter has cost implications, but we will review the arrangements with our housekeeper in the light of your concern. Our policy is to provide clean, comfortable accommodation at a fair price.
