A glorious summer in Snape!
About the Owner
Our family has lived has Snape Maltings for over 49 years, gradually transforming the Maltings from its industrial heritage to the cultural village you see today. The individually owned homes are part of this wonderful location and we hope that you will enjoy being here as much as we do.

A glorious summer in Snape!
We have the fondest memories of our week at this wonderful house in Snape Maltings. The property is beautifully and tastefully furnished and provides all the home comforts needed (well equipped kitchen, TV, DVD player, music etc). The house is extremely spacious and laid out over three floors. The highlight being the top floor balcony with stunning views and the perfect place for alfresco dining. The location is simply ideal if you need to get about by foot or car, the only downside is that Snape Maltings has so much to offer on site it would be very tempting to never leave and explore the glorious sights of Suffolk. This property comes highly recommended and we look forward to returning soon.
Home from home in a great location
We had a wonderful stay here over New Year. It really is a home from home. Beautiful views from the lounge on the upper floor and decorated and equipped to a very high standard. The location is great, right inside the Snape Maltings complex, but tucked away so no problems with noise or traffic. Lots to see and do in the local area with some beautiful seaside towns within easy driving distance. We also took bikes which worked really well and could be safely secured at the back of the property. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
Beautiful property and setting!
We spent New Year here with 3 other couples and loved it! The property is beautiful with fabulous views from the balcony of the upstairs lounge. The area is good for exploring with good walks and cycling. There are a couple of very good pubs within walking distance and another with good food on the site. Would thoroughly recommend.
What a great place to stay and relax
Stayed at Iken View for a week with 2 friends for a golfing trip.
Not only is it close to quality golf courses (Aldburgh, Thorpeness and Woodbridge) it is also very close to other sites such as Aldburgh, Snape Maltings and Saxmundum.
Snape Maltings itself is a great place to stay, unbelievably quiet at night although a pub is on your door step for a good meal and a pint (or 4). Seemed to have lots of concerts and other activities on while we were there, sadly golf took up most of our trip.
Beautiful accommodation, large rooms with very comfortable beds. Lots of space in the communal living areas and lovely views from the balcony overlooking Orford ness. Parking is on site right by the accommodation and it was only a couple of hours from north London.
Would defiantly return.
Chilled out heaven
Stayed on a gloriously sunny weekend in September.
Enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and walking in the local area. Everything is on the doorstep - lovely restaurants / cafes, interesting shops and scenic walks
House has everything that you need - all the mod cons and with a contemporary feel.
Will definitely go back with the family
Perfect in every way
We booked this stunning holiday cottage a couple of times in 2013 and are already looking to book again. Once for a girls weekend away to celebrate a special birthday and another time for a family holiday with the in-laws. The house is in the most incredible setting, with amazing views from the main living area on the top floor across the reed beds to Iken. The house itself is perfect in every way from the tasteful decoration, most comfortable beds, powerful showers and offering every thing that you need from a home away from home. Not only that, but the complex the house is situated within - Snape Maltings offers a pub serving delicious food, several cafés, gorgeous shops, galleries and the Benjamin Britten concert hall for music enthusiasts. There are also plenty of walks and even boat rides. All this before you have had to use your car. The local area is beautiful and unspoilt too. The children loved the local beaches of Southwold and Aldeburgh, crabbing at Walberswick and rowing at Thorpeness. There are several National Trust properties nearby, Minsmere bird reserve and many quaint villages and forest or Coastal walks. Definitely something for everyone. Book, you won't be disappointed.
