Spacious Luxury Cottage -The Bay, Filey, Yorkshire, Peaceful Location-15 Minutes To Beach. FREE Superfast WIFI

The Anchor is a beautifully designed luxury cottage with plenty of space for two families!!!! We offer unlimited super fast broadband and TVs throughout the house.

All stays include luxury bedding and towels as well as exceptional cleaning.

The house features:

Kitchen / Dining - a very large, fully fitted contemporary style free flowing kitchen with all integrated appliances and large dining area with spacious dining table and seating for 6 people (with additional stools to seat 10 total), wall mounted TV and 2 seater pull out sofa bed. In addition, we supply a separate drinks fridge for entertaining!

The house also features a spacious separate living room (unique to this property type on the whole development) with 6 seater leather corner sofa, BT HUB, Console Wiring and Armchair. We also offer a TV/DVD and large games /DVD selection.

Entrance hall and cloakroom with luxury downstairs WC

Upstairs there are three generous sized bedrooms:

The main bedroom has a king size bed, sofa, dressing table and stool and TV/DVD mounted on the wall as well as a large wardrobe and bedside storage.

There are two twin bedrooms each with large built-in wardrobes, drawer units and LCD TV.

The bathroom is a family bathroom with a shower over bath, cabinet, WC and heated towel rail - ideal for drying your clothes after a day at the pool or beach.

We also offer a large landing with additional storage.

Outside, accessed by French doors from both the dining room or living room, there is a large patio area with brick built BBQ, table and seating for 8 people.

Our house offers a long wheelchair entrance ramp which is ideal for prams/pushchairs.

We supply a cot and highchair free of charge. For a small fee we will welcome well behaved dogs (2 max) and even supply bowls for when they are thirsty after a long walk.

We are also pleased to offer free unlimited high speed Wi-Fi (code available in the property).

This property is strictly No Smoking and to maintain the family friendly nature of the development we do not allow groups of single guests.

Included in the property letting is unlimited access to a 20m indoor heated swimming pool and health club, tennis and games as well as private beach access.

For dogs and walkers the property is near the meadow land on the Bay Development and this includes acres of beautiful parkland and fishing lake(s).

Location - The cottage is conveniently located near the entrance to the Site, just off the A165, allowing easy access to all the amenities this stretch of coast has to offer. A short walk away is a family friendly Public House which serves freshly prepared meals & ales throughout the day, Café Italia - a Brasserie and Coffee Bar, a Pharmacy and private access to the beach. Out and about The Yorkshire Coastline has more than 100 miles of stunning shoreline to explore. Secluded coves, beautiful beaches and picturesque fishing villages are all there to be discovered and explored. The North York Moors National Park boasts the greatest area of National parkland in the UK and is home to the North York Moors Railway which is one of the earliest and most historic lines in the North of England. Its origins go back well over a century and a half, they operate steam trains along an 18 mile line between the market town of Pickering and the village of Grosmont, with trains to Whitby on certain days of the year.

About Anthony

Anchor at The Bay is owned by the Smith family from Leeds, West Yorkshire - Anthony, Kirstie, Adam, Harry & Katie (plus Barney our dog).

We bought the property in 2013 and, although bookings from guests will always take priority, we spend as much time as we can there. We've had many great times at The Bay and really hope all our guests enjoy it as much as we do. Why Anthony chose North Yorkshire

We love the walks around the house, the beach and the pool. Its quiet, very warm and cosy (cool in summer) and has all the amenities you could want! Your older and younger guests benefit from unlimited high speed property and this is essential in this gorgeous part of the world!

The gorgeous kept grounds, CCTV access, security and family friendly paths and cycle ways make a great break.

What makes this cottage unique

We have a separate lounge! Only our house style has a separate lounge and we are sure you will love they layout and space that we offer. (all of the other houses on the bay are open plan kitchen / diner / lounge - which ours has with the extra benefit of a lounge - or snug!

As the ex-showhouse our furniture is much better and we also have a connected house - featuring unlimited Wi-Fi and Hive Central Heating with unlimited hot water via a modern combi boiler.

Fabulous spacious family house

We've stayed on the Bay several times but this is the best house by far! It has a separate lounge to a v large kitchen diner. The house is so beautifully furnished and has everything needed in the kitchen to fully cater for a family on holiday we didn't need to eat out at all. The kids were v happy with TVs in each bedroom and games and dvds were a lovely touch.

Having access to the beach is great although this house is at the far end of the Bay, which means a slightly longer walk, it has the advantage of being really quiet as no one else walk past it like the others properties.

We used the swimming pool on site and had a drink in the pub which has the advantage of allowing dogs in!

We will definitely stay at this property again as it was the perfect holiday house for us!

Lovely Stay in a Lovely House

The Anchor At The Bay is as nice, clean and well-maintained as the photographs of the property suggest. It was a pleasure to stay there, with the added bonus of wi-fi which most properties at The Bay don't have. We had access to the onsite sports facilities - which meant my daughter got her first taste of fencing, which she has wanted to try since the Olympics. Lorenzo's Restaurant on site served some gorgeous Italian food and in fact we had both and evening meal and a breakfast there. The nearest convenience store is attached to the nearby garage. Anthony, the owner, comes across as a real gentleman with a great sense of humour on phone and email and it was a pleasure to do business with him. We hope to make repeat visits to The Anchor in the future.

Great property, well equipped and maintained

Lovely house well cared for in a great place. Ideal for long walks along the beach via the direct access on site. A perfect place for those with dogs as the site and pub are dog friendly and huge beach only 10 mins walk away. Also a good base dor travelling around north Yorks. We have been here before and will return again. The Bay and this property are highly recommended by us.

A lovely house in a great complex!

The house is ideally located for a family holiday in Filey. It is well appointed with all you need. The surrounding location has meadows and a lake and a football area and then a walk down to the beach.

Having access to the onsite pool and gym is also a great addition. There is a pub and restaurant onsite as well. We made a lot of use of the pool which quite often wasn't very busy.

Lovely spacious cottage in ideal location

The cottage was brilliant with everything we needed. We all had a great time at The Bay. The swimming pool and tennis facilities were well used and the beach was gorgeous. Will definitely be returning soon.
