Guestbook comments from the owner

just returned from a beautiful week in Rye which is an incredible town full of character and ancient history . We stayed at Seaview Cottage . So first let's start with the negatives about our accommodation . There that's done now the positives . Well equipped , immaculately clean , spacious with the most incredible views from the windows . Situated at the top of Rye it doesn't get any better. Jason & Caroline really have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Our dog even had his own welcome pack of chews , bed , bowls , ball and poo bags. Never had that fir home before . The bathroom is large and bright again immaculately clean . The bedroom is so comfortable , had no trouble sleeping and waking up to the sun streaming in through the curtains was a joy. The nesting house martins outside the window added a special treat. If your looking for a place to stay look no further , excellent location , perfect hosts with a beautiful cottage . There really is nothing also to add . Except thank you . Oh and Caroline whatever you wash the bed linen , towels and fleeces always leaves a very pleasant smell where ever you are .

The great holiday

  • 5 of 5

We stayed as a family of 3 & Maya (our dog) at 5 Seaview Cottages in Seaview Terrace Rye, what a wonderful and charming place it was, the cottage itself was very well presented and clean, the added touch of having a welcome pack such as: eggs, milk, bread it was great,

as well as the very special welcome pack for our pet, our Bichon Frise 2 year old little dog it was really great and appreciated!

Rye as a place to visit was awesome, so much history it makes one lose track of time as one travels through the history on offer, so many wonderful and quirky places to see and visit.

And as pet owners lets not forget that this is the most loving dog town we have ever visited, I would say 98% of premises welcome pets!!!

We would definitely return to Rye and without a shadow of a doubt stay at 5 Seaview Cottage.

Thank you for having quality people with quality properties advertising on your Website.

Regards

Rui

Very central, comfortable and friendly. Welcome pack of grocery essentials was a nice touch. Warm and friendly welcome. Only downside - no champagne flutes! We even searched to purchase some to leave at the property but no luck 😟

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for taking the time to review our cottage. Feedback on how we can improve is always appreciate. We are now buying champagne flutes for the cottage. Generally if there's anything guests need during their stay - they should just ask Jason and Caroline can provide most extras. Thank you again. Victoria

A fantastic week in Rye

  • 5 of 5

We visited on a pre-baby getaway and enjoyed every second. The cottage is a gem and exactly as we'd hoped for. When not relaxing in front of the fire, we loved The Apothecary, The Union and Tuscan Rye (all were within a few steps). The kitchen is perfect for cooking fresh fish and you can't argue with the views. The only (minor) downside is that parking can be tricky and requires a bit of thought and planning. But we'll definitely be back!

Relaxing in Rye!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderfully relaxing and homely cottage.Beautiful views of the marshes and countryside. The cottage is well equipped and couldn't be in a better position.Stumble out of the door and you are in the heart of historic Rye.Your dog can join in too, a bed and bowls were provided by the friendly owners.Dont be put off by the parking situation it really is easy to park in the market carpark which is close and only 1.50 per day.Would not hesitate to come back to the cottage and hope to do so in the near future.

Very comfortable and was an ideal location for our stay.

  • 5 of 5

We were welcomed very warmly and there was a welcome pack left for us, that was appreciated. We had a lovely time and would recommend this property for anyone staying in Rye, as the location is perfect. Plus the views from the windows are fantastic.

Weekend in Rye

  • 4 of 5

A very pleasant, relaxing stay in this cosy apartment in Rye. On arrival you are welcomed with basics in the fridge and a fire built and ready for lighting. The bedroom and living room afford serene views for miles into the Romney Marshland that are very enjoyable to look out at while enjoying the open fire in the living room. The apartment is set a stone's throw from the High Street and close to some good pubs such as The George and The Mermaid Inn. The kitchen is well enough appointed for basic cooking if you're not out enjoying one of the many good local restaurant's or hotels. If I had one negative point it would be that the mattress in the bedroom is very soft, however this is a matter of personal preference.
