Guestbook comments from the owner

just returned from a beautiful week in Rye which is an incredible town full of character and ancient history . We stayed at Seaview Cottage . So first let's start with the negatives about our accommodation . There that's done now the positives . Well equipped , immaculately clean , spacious with the most incredible views from the windows . Situated at the top of Rye it doesn't get any better. Jason & Caroline really have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Our dog even had his own welcome pack of chews , bed , bowls , ball and poo bags. Never had that fir home before . The bathroom is large and bright again immaculately clean . The bedroom is so comfortable , had no trouble sleeping and waking up to the sun streaming in through the curtains was a joy. The nesting house martins outside the window added a special treat. If your looking for a place to stay look no further , excellent location , perfect hosts with a beautiful cottage . There really is nothing also to add . Except thank you . Oh and Caroline whatever you wash the bed linen , towels and fleeces always leaves a very pleasant smell where ever you are .

Idyllic couples hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Had no preconceived opinions about Rye but my wife and I were blown away by the place.

Firstly, the accommodation was brilliant with respect to positioning, views, facilities, cleanliness.

Secondly, the town of Rye was magnificent with history, pubs, restaurants, walks and proximity to other attractions.

Jason and Caroline - we take our hats off to you. Well done.

Will be back

Cracking find!

  • 5 of 5

Excellently located period cottage right in the heart of Rye, everything really is a short walk from the front door! Lovely and quiet, apart from the seagulls who seem to keep unsociable hours.

Very well kept (spotlessly clean) and provided everything you need for a 'home away from home'. The owners were nice and friendly as well. Would definitely stay here again :)

House with great view and a warm welcome.

  • 4 of 5

The house is comfortable, clean and well equipped, right in the centre of Rye.

The view over the river and meadows is stunning.

The hosts were very friendly.

A problem with a coffeemaker was quickly solved.

This is a property we certainly can recommend to friends.

Fabulous stay!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely, comfortable, well-equipped, light, airy, and all as described on the website. We had the perfect short break in Rye and couldn't have been happier than at Seaview Cottage. Candle-lit dinners with a superb view across the Romney Marshes, waking up to the sun streaming in, a light and spacious bathroom, and perfectly located for walks in and around Rye. Jason and Caroline were ideal hosts and we are looking forward to return visits.
