Approached by a gated private drive one and a half kilometres off the Torrox/ Frigliana road. The location really is 'top of the world' and a paradise for those seeking a room with a view of the sea or mountains. Large terraces for outdoor dining, large conservatory and spacious, light and airy lounge downstairs. Two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs, and two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs with additional spacious dining area with 7-foot Pool table at one end. Adjoining kitchen with serving area to dining room. Lends itself easily to two families sharing. Outside there is a large private swimming pool with shaded area for those seeking respite from the sun. sun loungers for 8 people. Table tennis, petanque also available. About Susan Lovett

We are a couple living and working in England where our three adult children live. We have enjoyed many European holidays including camping and staying in privately owned villas.

We spent a great deal of time looking for our ideal property to spend relaxing holidays with family and friends in the years to come.

It is our intention to visit the property on a very regular basis and offer a sunny retreat for our family from the hub-bub of modern life. We have been lucky enough to find an excellent house manager, to ensure the villa is maintained to a high standard

A main attraction of the property for us was the privacy and the stunning scenery surrounding the house on every side; most of our time is spent outside on the terraces.

Why Susan Lovett chose Torrox

We settled on Cerro Pastora early this year, after deciding that we wanted to experience typical Spanish life, whilst not being too far from the coast and busier towns.

We were particularly attracted to Torrox with its 'family' feel, small square and very reasonably priced restaurants,where we have enjoyed many lunches, suppers and festivals with friends.

Of particular appeal to us is the privacy afforded by the property and the stunning scenery surrounding the villa on all sides.

There is no passing traffic but a concrete road up to the villa.

What makes this villa unique

The villa offers an ideal environment for relaxation; whilst at the same time having good access to the cosmopolitan life of southern Spain.

There is peace and quiet when you want it, and Wi-Fi/ satellite TV/ X-Box/ Pool Table/ Ping-Pong/ Boules.... so when activity strikes a chord we're up and ready!

We like cycling... down hill is easy, uphill a bit more challenging. There are 2 mountain bikes at the property for the use of guests.

Notes on accommodation: A perfect retreat for those seeking a relaxing holiday in the Spanish countryside. Torrox reportedly has the best climate in Europe.Would also appeal to artists and hill walkers and those in search of peace and tranquility, but with quick and easy access to the coast. Outside: The villa is surrounded by large terraces ideal for al fresco dining while taking advantage of the breathtaking views of the sea, mountains and Andalucian countryside, There is a gas barbecue, table tennis table and petanque court. The swimming pool is 11x5 metres, tiled,with steps at one end and a shower. It is a private pool with extensive sunbathing areas, 8 sun loungers and an eating area under a canopy with outdoor table and seats Utility Room: The washing machine and tumble drier are in the garage Ironing board , iron and hoover are in a cupboard off the lounge Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Rental cost includes all linen, including beach towels. The villa will be cleaned and prepared for guests and linen will be changed weekly; the pool will be cleaned twice weekly. Other: On the 2nd floor there is a dining table with 8 chairs adjoining the kitchen area. Large patio doors open onto another terrace with stunning views of the sea. Air conditioning There is a further roof terrace with dining table and seats

A spectacular villa, in a fabulous location, with stunning views and great owners

A beautiful property in a stunning location on a mountain top with amazing mountain and sea views! The villa itself is fabulous with great indoor and outdoor space (including a pétanque court, a game we fell in love with during our stay!).

Whilst the road up to the villa is a little nervy on the first occasion, you soon get used to the road and the views make it worth every moment. The location at the top of the mountain means that it is far windier than at sea level, which if the clouds come in can make for an interesting, yet spectacular scene. The pool is perfect for relaxation and the kids loved it. There is also a small area alongside the pool with a glass partition which protects you from the wind and is that little bit warmer if not the hottest day (we nicknamed it ‘cosy corner’).

The villa is around 15 minutes from the Torrox motorway junction, which proved to be a handy base for Torrox & Torrox Costa, as well as Frigiliana and Nerja. We had some beautiful meals in Torrox (La Casa and El Figon) and Frigiliana (El Casino) and beautiful Tapas in Nerja.

The owners were fantastically responsive and the Property Manager (Rob) was just great, really helpful (which was handy as we locked ourselves out on our first night, meaning we needed to meet him to get a spare key to avoid a night in the car!).

All in all a spectacular villa, in a fabulous location, with stunning views and great owners ... what more could you ask for?

It would be hard to not have a good holiday here

This property has everything - views to die for, spots to relax and enough to keep our kids (8 to 12) entertained (petanque, pool, table tennis, pool table)...we also took a couple of walks to the otherside of the mountain too.

The property is really well laid out so that you don't feel you are living in each others pocket (we shared with another family).

The property is clean and well maintained.

Frigiliana, Torrox and Nerja are all a short easy drive but a car is essential.

Fantastic Villa, with amazing views.

Had a fantastic week, This villa is most definitely as described if not better, very spacious and well maintained, very peaceful and quiet with the most amazing views, from every angle, The swimming pool was a big hit with all of us. It is not too far to the beach and shops, and plenty of restaurants, I would most definitely recommend this villa to friends and family, and would definitely visit again myself.

Really good house in amazing location

In 10 years of renting vacation homes in France, Spain and the USA, this was the best yet, and we fully intend to return. Sitting on the roof with the sun rising over the sea on one side and setting over the sea on the other side, or lying by the pool overlooked only by the beautiful mountains - breathtaking. Added bonus of lots of raptors migrating and displaying overhead.

A wonderful villa in an amazing location.

We loved staying in and soaking up the sun by the lovely pool and we loved exploring the local villages. We found great restaurants in Nerja and Frigiliana, but our favourite was in Torrox, El Figon, with its beautiful garden, but make sure you book it's very popular. If you don't want to eat out the villa has everything you need and lots of terraces to follow the sun throughout the day.

We didn't want to come home and we'd love to go back.

The villa is a 10 minute drive from the beach in Torrox and 15 minutes from Nerja


Malaga airport can be reached from around 20 UK airports. Several airlines, including Monarch, Ryanair, Easyjet and BA operate on these routes.

Car hire from the airport is straight-forward and much cheaper than most European destinations.


Nearest village is Torrox, which is a 10minute drive away. It is an unspoilt, traditional Spanish village with whitewashed buildings surrounding a square with several excellent family restaurants, serving Tapas and various Spanish/ English dishes.

Frigliana is a delightful village, popular with artists and also has many restaurants and bars.

Nerja is about 20-25 minutes drive away and is much more 'touristy' It is very picturesque with cobbled streets, lots of gift shops, restaurants etc

Further Details:

For those interested in walking, there are several walks/hikes of varying degrees of difficulty very close to the villa, it is not unusual to come across herds of wild goats! Locals are very friendly

A car is required- it is not possible to walk to the shops.

There are a few restaurants within 10 minutes of the property in the Campo
