Apartment in Shaldon, South Devon, Devon, England - Prime location, 2 minute walk to shops, 5 minute walk to 5 pubs, 6 restaurants/cafes and 3 beaches.

The apartment is in a stylishly converted Victorian house, on the second floor, which is decorated and furnished to a high standard to create a relaxed environment, just right for a holiday. It has one main bedroom with bathroom an integrated kitchen/dining and lounge area plus an additional toilet.

Fore Street is the main street in Shaldon and has a number of shops including an award winning butcher, first class bakers, a well stocked small supermarket, newsagent, pharmacist and post office. For those who wish to be pampered there is also a Beautician and hairdressers. It has a restaurant which is well known for fine dining. It is in an ideal location for all attractions whether it be the beaches, shops, pubs or restaurants as everything is within walking distance.

About Nicola Hamblin

We fell in love with Shaldon on holiday in 2013 so much so we bought a holiday home in October that year. We travelled every weekend to Shaldon from the Midlands and in July 2014 we decided to downsize and re-locate to Shaldon and we have never looked back since.

Everyone is very friendly and made us feel so welcome. We have made many friends and our children often comment that we have more of a social life than they do as there is always so much going on in the village!

We decided to buy a second property in the village so that others can experience what we did and leave with many happy memories.

Outstanding apartment

Myself and my partner Andy stayed in Nicola and Brians Appartment over the Easter break.

We were so pleasantly surprised how lovely it was very central and had a homely feel to it the minute you walked in. The extra touches

that Nicola provided were so thoughtful and she went the extra mile with easter treats such as hot cross buns, easter eggs, and wine. Once again Nicola a huge thankyou we will return to Shaldon and would love to stay in your beautiful apartment.

Lovely Stay in Shaldon

Situated in the pretty village of Shaldon, we stayed for 10 days in this beautiful apartment which was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. We really appreciated the hamper treats and the extra touches like dressing gowns and slippers.

Location

Special interest holidays:

There are many water sport activities that can be arranged in Shaldon and Teignmouth.

Coast/Beach:

The Shaldon beach which is on the Teign Estuary and has lovely reddish sand is a 5 minute walk (on the level).

From that beach you can take a ferry (maximum 35 people) across the estuary to Teignmouth which has a beach, pier and other attractions.

Ness Beach is approximately a 10 minute walk away and accessed via the Smugglers' tunnel.

Travel:

Exeter Airport is about 25mins away.

The nearest station Teignmouth is just over a mile from the apartment. Newton Abbot station is 3 miles away.

Shaldon is 20 minutes from the end of the M5. You can usually park on a street in Shaldon failing which there is a public car park ten minute walk away for which there is a small charge.

Distances:

Teignmouth is a mile away and is an easy walk or you can take the ferry.

Morrisons superstore is about a kilometre away. There is also an Tesco Express just across the bridge in Teignmouth.

Torquay is a 20 minute drive and Dartmoor about 30mins.

Further Details:

Shaldon has so much to offer all in walking distance. You will not need your car once arrived.

It has 5 excellent pubs all providing good food. A nearby restaurant called The Ode which is known for fine dining. The Clipper cafe/restaurant on the water's edge, The Coffee Rush cafe opposite the apartments, the Ode Cafe at the Ness.

There is also a fish and chip shop. The 'surfing' bakers sell great pasties and sandwiches, as well as bread! However, if you do want to cook you can't beat buying meet at G T Orsman, the local award winning butchers.

There are 2 hairdressers and the Beauty Hut.

There is so much to do with a small zoo, The Botanical Gardens, Golf Course, Beaches etc.
